Overall, I'd give Curious Cork Wine & Provisions 4 stars. Here's the breakdown:
Food (5 stars): Absolutely delicious! We tried a variety of things: mussels, marinated olives, the dip board, burger sliders, and shrimp cocktails. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They were also very accommodating to gluten-free needs, with options clearly marked on the menu and a willingness to modify dishes.
Service (4 stars): Our waitress was amazing! Friendly, fun, and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure we were happy. The only hiccup was that our silverware didn't come out with the food, so our dishes sat for a few minutes getting cold while we waited. Furthermore, I would have preferred cloth napkins instead of paper napkins for a place like this, which would make it feel more upscale.
Vibe (4 stars): This is a self-serve wine bar, which is a cool concept. You get to choose your own wine directly from the taps. However, the layout is a bit awkward. It's quite cramped, and servers are constantly going in and out from the kitchen right next to the wine taps, making it feel crowded. I feel like the staff could have replaced the bottles more often, especially because I poured a Rosè and it was the last few drops in the bottle so it came spitting out, and probably charged me for a 6 oz when I got less than that. On the plus side, the decor is fantastic and the place was very clean.
Bonus points: The owner even came out to greet us and make sure everything was going well. That's a nice touch I love to always see.
Would definitely be going back to this place again, and for everyone reading this review, I highly recommend you go and...
Read morewow! my girlfriend stayed with me for the weekend & she spotted this place on the way to grab coffee. we planned to go later in the day & i’m SO glad we went! when we entered, we were greeted with smiles & good energy. we sat facing the parking lot & enjoyed both the views from the inside & out. our server, Christian I believe was so informative! he let us know how everything worked & made some yummy suggestions. i’m not typically a beer person, but I loved some that I sampled — specifically the chocolate & strawberry beer! I also love how the sommeliers were so informative as well. they helped me find different wines to try based on my taste preferences. they were so knowledgeable about the notes, the wine origins, & a lot of other helpful details to know regarding wine. I chatted with Bo & he shared a cool story about living abroad, near one of the wineries. as we were wrapping up, one of the owners came over & introduced himself; he was so kind! we later met the floor manager who also let us know about some up coming events & we will definitely be attending! overall I highly recommend the curious cork & can’t wait to go back already!
update: finally went back & wow - the experience was just as good as my first time. Ericson was amazing. very personable & informative. we ordered a bunch of apps & they were all so fresh tasting. I will definitely be back...
Read moreSomeone the table next to me said "This is like Chuck E Cheese if it was for adults" and that was the perfect description. Imagine if a 5 year old child went to sleep and became an adult the next day and had to be in charge of a fancy restaurant menu and you would get this. Including the lack of economic knowledge for the prices.
I had the 3 dips that came with veggies plus pita bread, the Charred Brusselsprouts, and the lobster roll at first. The 3 dips were 24 dollars for 3 little scoops and some veggies. And I split the lobster roll and it was okay. I honestly felt like I was living the rabbit lifestyle with the cottage cheese, hearts of palm, and mustard girl.
The service was also really weird, the server next to us was talking really loud about the effects of Artificial Intelligence, the dead internet, and anime gacha games to the table next to us and behind us. Love that for him, but I needed to talk with my dad about my grandma in the hospital and I couldn't cause he was so loud.
The only pretty good thing I had was the sliders. The meat was juicy, and I really enjoyed it. The wine was also really strong and worth a taste.
Overall, if you're a manchild who makes 6 figures, I highly recommend this place. Otherwise, I can go to Miller's Ale House and get the same food for half the price and double the portions. Cute...
