Title: A Toast to the Toastique - A Crunchy Delight in St. George, UT!
Rating: 🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞 (5 out of 5 Toasts)
Let me just start off by saying that Toastique in St. George, UT isn't just a place. It's a phenomenon. It's like Hogwarts for bread-lovers; a place where wheat, rye, and sourdough aren't just grains and yeast, they're a lifestyle.
The minute I walked through the door, I was greeted by the alluring aroma of freshly toasted goodness that could only be equaled by capturing the essence of a Sunday morning at your grandma's. And there, at the helm of this glorious symphony of sourdough and symposium of seeds, was the maestro himself - the owner. This guy was not just serving up slices of heaven, he was dishing out human decency with a side of butter and jam!
Now, let's talk about the toast, the raison d'être of this place. Holy moly, guacamole! And yes, they do have an Avocado toast that could make even the most stringent anti-millennial admit, "Okay, this is why they can't afford houses". But it's not just about the Avo-toast; each slice, each topping, each condiment here has been contemplated upon, probably more than most of us have contemplated our life choices.
The toast at Toastique is the antithesis of ordinary. It is a canvas painted with meticulously sourced ingredients and strokes of culinary genius. It is a love letter to the concept of breakfast, lunch, and any meal in between. Whether it's the classic PB&J, or something more daring like the Salmon Lox & Capers, you're not just in for a treat, you're in for a gastronomic adventure.
What's more, the owner's commitment to fairness was like a sprinkle of cinnamon on the already splendid experience. The employees looked genuinely happy, making the environment not just another hipster eatery, but a community space where good food and good times are as interwoven as the grains in their multigrain bread.
In conclusion, the Toastique in St. George is more than just a stop on the road. It's a slice of life, generously buttered with hospitality, fair-trade practices, and love. In a world filled with McMuffins and drive-thru breakfasts, the Toastique stands tall and golden brown, a beacon of light to all that is good in toast.
So, if you ever find yourself in St. George, UT, do yourself a favor and stop by the Toastique. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll eat toast. And really, isn't that what life's all about? Toasting to...
Read moreWe arrived at 5:55 when the restaurant closed at 6, so that was our bad. BUT the hours on Apple Maps are wrong and say that Toastique is open until 7 every day. If we had known, we wouldn’t have driven 20 mins to show up 5 mins before closing, we aren’t those people.
We get there and the girl working tells us they are closing soon. We ask if it’s still ok for us to order food, because we know places start wrapping up and putting things away close to closing time. She kind of mumbles “yes” and stands there weirdly shifting and not really looking at us. So we are discussing what we want and we are placing our order and she is putting it in the computer. At this point, it just turned 6, and we are adding another item to our order and the employee says “well now it’s 6 and I’ve already cleaned and put everything away” and then just stood there staring at us. So we stand there looking at each other, and we say “so basically you’re saying that you won’t make any food now?” And she says “um just come back another day”.
If we had gone in and she initially said that she had already cleaned and put everything away, we would have been bummed but understood. Instead we stand there placing our order, for her to wait until it’s 6 PM and then basically say she won’t make the food. So rude.
So to the manager, i think the employee who closed on Wednesday, august 23 could use a refresher on customer service.
For the record, Toastique has extremely delicious food, and we go regularly. But the closer on 8/23 was a serious disappointment and left bitter feelings instead of a...
Read moreThis welcoming place has great healthy food choices on the menu :). This place can be your go to place for a quick and healthy meal anytime of the day. I tried Black Mystique with activated charcoal, blueberry, strawberry, banana, and coconut water. One of my friends ordered a PB+B bowl and the other one ordered a Blue Mystique. I also ordered a gluten free OG Acai bowl and two toasts for takeout (all together it was a little over $80 after tax :) ). I did wait for a while but all the items that I ordered, sure looked like the “pictures”. I tasted three flavors of bowls: PB+B, Blue and Black Mystique, and I have to say my favorite is PB+B bowl but they were all pretty tasty. The bowls are pretty good size; I could not finish it all at once. Toastique sells not only smoothies and cold pressed juices but coffees! I was excited to see coffee on their menu. Also, there is a cold display refrigerator next to the register and I found some food items that I did not find on their website - chia puddings(?) and salads! I also heard their catering is phenomenal! I think catering from Toastique would be a great way to impress guests and/or fellow colleagues. I can’t wait to go back and try other stuff and explore their gluten...
