Went through the drive thru, and were the only ones in line, and the person taking our order kept rushing us and asking if we were done. Even after stating that my husband was still looking at the menu. When we finally finished and pulled up to the window, we sat there a second and I could see an employee leaning on the service counter on her phone. A moment after that said team member came over and stated the amount and i said yes and gave her my card. She handed me my juice, bag, and my card. No receipt. She said nothing to me aside from that, husband also heard nothing, and let the window close quickly and was immediately back to her phone. I talk to my husband and asked if he thought i should go in and say anything. When he noted i didn't have my receipt, he agreed i should go in and say something. I went in, the team member who i had been dealing with was sitting in the lobby on her phone. Doesn't greet me, but stands and walks towards me. I ask if there is a manager i can speak to. Says she is the manager. I say then she will get my concerns. I ask if she was the one taking the orders. She was. I noted that she was rushing us when there was no line at all. It was rude. I noted that she didn't say anything to me when i left, she argued that she did. As she continued to argue with me i asked for a number to call.she handed me a random receipt off the counter. Like she hadn't been giving receipts to anyone all day. And i told her to have a good day and a better attitude. I went outside and my husband was not amused that she handed us someone else receipt and went in to request ours. She was sitting in a booth on her phone. Came up to him and said. The number is on the receipt. He asked again for our receipt. Says the number is on there. He asked for our receipt for our order. She then printed off a plain piece of paper and told him the number was on there, at this point she went back to sit down. He looked over the blank receipt for a number and told her that there was no number on there.. she said just to call the store and brushed him off. This woman should not be dealing with the public or be the face of this restaurant. I will be sending this up every ladder til...
Read moreWhat is actually happening though. This is the second time I've tried to go through the drive thru during normal posted business hours but after 9pm and the whole staff has just collectively decided not to honor customers. First time the staff was in the parking lot smoking as I pulled in, I received absolutely no response for 10 minutes at the drive thru as I watched them stand and smoke, then I left and drove across town to 2nd location. Today I again tried to get a burger after 9pm was told the "system went down" even though every other aspect of said system was working. Telephoned location to ask about said shutdown only to be told over the phone that the "system was down" which I countered with the fact that the nearby other Burger King was operational and this same "system failure" seemed to have miraculously happened at this same location only a few weeks prior during peak evening hours. WHAT IS HAPPENING. If wages are too low fine. If there is no oversight or management fine. But for god's sake who is allowing a restaurant to be "open" for scheduled and publicized hours and taking absolutely no accountability for the fact that their employees refuse to work and yet be open for those hours??? I went to the other location and vented only to be met with an exasperated understanding of how ones location of refusal to work only trickles down to their unsustainable levels of late night production. Yes I tipped them, and yes I did order cause yes I did also work all day and sorry but I do expect my food providers to honor their posted hours-I build that into my work schedules too. if I take a client for a certain time slot I show up so, yes, I do expect others to do the same. IT TAKES A FREAKING...
Read moreI have great empathy for people that work in the food industry as I do and have for many years, which is why when someone is incredibly rude I try to look at it from there perspective but this time it was near impossible. I stopped by to order a coke in the drive through. They have two lines. There was one white car in the first one (only other vehicle so I pulled into the second one and it was just us two there. They moved forward and I thought “oh I’ll be next” woman came on and said “please wait” I gladly respond “no problem” then a green car pulls up in the line next to me and I hear their order being taken and then they move up. I’m now concerned they forgot about me so I ask “hello?” With a response “mam please be patient there is only two of us here!” I respond “no problem I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t forgotten because another car has come and gone. Happy to wait” her response “mam that is not true I’ve seen the cars pull up and that car was there. You can go if you can’t be patient.”
Listen I’m cool as a cucumber I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t forgotten. I’m not in the game of arguing what’s true and what’s not I’m just here for a coke. I don’t care I’m happy to wait but telling a confused customer they can just go?!?! In what world. I had empathy it was just two girls working there if that was true but I’ve been in situations where it was just me running a restaurant and I never was rude like that to someone! I ended up waiting and was still ignored so I left. That’s fine worse things to happen. But just a heads up to management 3:20 on...
