I love coming here and it’s my favorite spot for fast food tacos. It’s consistently tasty, affordable and I would say it is comfort food. My go-tos are the soft shell beef tacos (add tomatoes for free) and the potato burrito. The shells are tasty and don’t fall apart very easily. The beef is well seasoned and not dry. The toppings are always fresh. The burrito is really tasty, it’s in a flour shell which is also good. The potatoes inside the burrito stay crispy which is impressive! The interior has changed a lot since the pandemic. There’s no more salsa bar, you need to request salsas when you order (which is fine) One per item. It’s a really good salsa so do not miss out on that. The seating areas have changed as well and I hope they revisit making the interior look nicer. There used to be booths; they’re now swapped with tables and bar style seating. There aren’t as many tables as there used to be and there’s a to-go window that was established during the pandemic where there was seating and the salsa bar. The main room has very few spots for sitting. I also noticed that the cups and wrapping have changed. There used to be purple cups with a bull on it: it was cute. I do miss the ‘old’ taco house but the food is still really good, affordable and comforting.

First time eating here but would still try once more. I don't discount a place after 1 visit. But I got a crunchy taco, stupid me reading the menu thought that was the deep fried shell, but no its a regular hard shell. K, that parts on me. But ouch! My jaw hurt trying to chew the stalest shell EVER. Could also give a few more tomato dices, pretty stingy. The quesadilla was an impending gut ache if I ate it all. It was a massive amount of cheese kinda melted, believe by microwave because of how my shell was stuck to the paper and it's rolled like a burrito. It was more like a cheese glob burrito. I took it home, opened it, added some meat for some texture difference and heated it in a pan. Doesn't take long to make an actually edible quesadilla! For a place that says food worth waiting for, I'd have rather waited another minute for an actual good one.

Food was less then mediocre. The counter help seemed bored and unfriendly. Then there was the most awkward and uncomfortable wait for my food I have ever experienced. It didn't take too long, but there was no music. It was silent. It was uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that I won't ever go back to experience it again. That, and the food was nothing special. All around one of the most unpleasant experiences. I don't normally go out of my way to post negative feedback. Unless it is deserved. GET SOME MUSIC IN THERE OR TURN A TV ON!!!

I went to Boca Chica Taco House.

Today I wanted fried tacos

I ask the person working at the front, for 2 fries beef and 1 fried chicken taco, she said no chicken for fried , I said any chicken would be fine, she said crispy.

I paid and waited for my receipt number to be called.

I looked the receipt and I didn't see the 2 fried beef tacos. I want to the person and showed her my receipt and ask did she remember to add my 2 fried tacos, she looked and said no, and than rung up a new order for 2 fried beef, so I had 2 receipts.

I got my order for the 2 receipts and there 2 chicken Crispy and 2 fried beef, I let the person know I never asked for the 2 chickens tacos buy I only asked for 1.

The front person said she could take care of the error after a few minutes, and I thought I could go, sit and eat and wait.

After I Finish the food I ordered. I went to the front again and she made a phone call to a manager after hanging up the phone. She told me. I had to wait 20 minutes to get the error corrected.

I left the chicken taco unopened on the Counter and i told the person I don't have 20 minutes to wait and she toss the taco in the trash and I walked away.

At first I thought I shouldn't write a review but after sitting and eating and hearing a couple other customers mentioned that thier order was also more items than they had asked, it seemed to me there is a communication problem, at this business.

You can expect amazing great food, But very bad service...

The cashier was unfriendly, can't believe that you only sell cheese and beef enchilada. Something told me to go across the street to the regular restaurant. When I asked the second cashier where the bathroom was, she said it kind of smart and snippy and pointed to the back in a sarcastic way and I told her first time visiting. If you're gonna have cashiers half a month front that has a personality and isn't a*Because that's how they came off to me. I don't know whether they just don't like black people. But it was very obvious they had an attitude. Didn't pick that up with the other customers in there. I was not no young girl like they were. I'm a grown woman 58 years old and I expect respect when I come in especially when I pay my money. Never again, will I step foot in your taco house? I will go over across the street to your regular...
