I am 2 for 2 on having items compensated here because things went wrong. Which is really disappointing since the food was decent, but I’m not sure if I will be back after these experiences. The first time a few months ago, I was served a water glass that had a sizeable obvious chunk of something mysterious stuck on the inside. It was honestly quite disgusting to even look at and more gross knowing I drank water from it before I realized. I told our server and later the manager came over and offered us a free dessert to make up for it. Besides that, the service was super slow that night but I didn’t think too much on it since it was pretty busy. We decided to give it another try for St. Patrick’s day and we were there towards the end of the night when it was no longer very busy (We were seated without a wait and tables around us were empty). There was apparently confusion on who our server was which seemed to cause a lot of problems. One server came up to us awhile after we were seated and informed us he wasn’t our server but could take our order. We ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees, and water. Our entrees were brought out to us first, without any drinks or the appetizer still. Halfway through eating, nobody still had approached us so I wandered around until I found where I could pour us our own water. A bit later when we were more than halfway done with our meal, a lady came up to us for the first time who apparently was supposed to be our server and told us they would offer us a free dessert and were sorry for the service since they saw me pour my own water. We did not complain before this offer, they just seem to be in the habit of offering free desserts which is not a good sign 😬 not only this situation, but I also asked halfway through eating our entree if we were still getting our appetizer and the response was “oh you didn’t get told for some reason but we are out of that sorry do you want anything else” ?????? Even after the apology for the service, we didn’t see our server again for a very long time, and it also took 10 minutes to grab us the dessert menu and another 10 minutes to come back for our order. We really just did not want to wait any longer and asked for a discount instead of a dessert we would have to wait another significant amount of time for. The whole situation was so confusing how the service could be so bad given the restaurant was only half full. This place is a headache. I really try to not leave negative reviews for businesses but I’m hoping that the service issues can be worked on and I will be able to go back in the future to...

This is the second time I've been to Emmett's since the new building opened. The first was right after reopening. Sadly it was worse this time.

Firstly is the ambience. This does not feel like an irish pub. Maybe if you sit at the bar and don't look at the rest of the restaurant it might, but the decor and vibes just don't feel warm like a pub should. It is super echo-y and would be difficult for anyone who is hard of hearing.

I know there are likely good servers here, but our server was awful. The hostess was helpful checking us in, but it took our server more than 20 minutes to notice that we were there. It felt like we were being waited on by someone untrained as he was wearing a green T-shirt while all the other servers were wearing different uniforms. The rest of dinner service was bad too. I had to go to the server station to get silverware as our server neither delivered our meals nor came to check on us before we had finished our food.

The food overall was fine. The croquette appetizer was good. The Shepherd's pie was ok, but not for the cost. It looked like the potatoes were scooped on with an ice cream scoop at the end, and some of the onions were still raw.

I really wanted to like this place as I loved the old Emmett's and love an Irish pub. It is quite unlikely I will ever come back though, and I cannot recommend it to anyone...

I had a first date here on a Friday evening. Fortunately, I'd made reservations for 6:30pm because it was pretty packed. The whole Grand business area was busy.

Our server was very nice and attentive. She earned her $40 tip on my $180 bill. We ordered at least 3 rounds of drinks and had 2 apps and 3 entrées. (The date was going really well.)

I had the Bangers and Croquettes for my entrée. The food was prepared well. The texture of my croquettes was perfect. The meal was a little bland for my palate, but that's the traditional preparation, I'm sure.

My date enjoyed her Irish Mac and Cheese with bacon. I ordered my own Mac and Cheese with corned beef to go.

We shared Walleye Bites and Reuben Eggrolls as appetizers. Both were good.

Oh yeah, the music was great. I kept Googling songs that were being played.

Get there early because finding a parking spot is a challenge. After driving around for about 10 minutes, I ended up parking 3 blocks up away from the businesses.

Yes, there will be a second...

If you like Irish food this a great option. The walleye bites and the dill pickles app were great. The big mick was an excellent choice. The max & cheese was really good with the peppers and onions in it. I got the bacon too which really made it pop. The fish and chips are a solid choice. Nice big chunks of cod. The hunters chicken was good, but note the gnocchi had a curry sauce on it. Lots of other options too, like nice salads. Good tap list and lots of good cocktails. The Pen Pal was very tasty. Also there are great N/A options with non-alc mocktails and wines, etc The staff was very good, and the server was generally good, though we had a bit of a wait (longer than usual) between our apps and the main dishes. Just a tad longer than expected is all. Solid option for Irish fare!

This place is alright, but it isn't a restaurant I think I need to come to again. Maybe it is fabulous if you get drinks, but we didn't. Service was good, seating was fast. Outdoor patio is fun, but loud. The cheesecurds were so dark it made me wonder when the last time the oil has been changed - or maybe that is just how they are. They came out hot. Not sure why they have pretzel in name- seemed to be basic breading. Flavor was ok. Burger was underwhelming, a bit dry, with a distinct taste. Either that distinct taste is a purposeful attempt at imparting a grilled flavor, or it was cooked on a surface that hasn't been cleaned for quite some time. Food seemed to be delivered promptly and fries were hot. Overall, food didn't suit my preferences, especially for the price.
