Updated Review (3 stars): This is an update of my recent visit here cause it seems everything had change since the last time I visit. Not sure what happen to the quality service but it seems they either got rid or fired the two young waiter and waitress that use to work here. Now it's just two old Gramps who couldn't understand simple English.
The young workers were the best part about this the last time my group and I came cause they know how to greet us properly. They understood simple instructions and they were polite where as now we had a too nice of an old lady and a very grumpy old guy doing the serving and often gets mad at you when suggesting something.
It also took very long to wait for food service and for them to get to the register after we finish dining just so we could pay to get out of there. The old lady is okay but the old guy looks like he hated that job. Anyways food was still good hence why I only dropped two stars but if it gets worst than this the next time than I had to give my two cents to what it's worth.
Original Review (was 5 stars): Wish I know about this place sooner, this is probably the best place to dine if you're craving for some fantastic Khmer dish. Waiters and waitress are very friendly, the place is well clean, and the food are well prepare and very delicious. I'm definitely coming...
Read moreFor what it is, it's great. If you want something swankier I recommend Thai Garden on University. The food is good and the portions are large, you can easily split an entree between two people (even if they have a large appetite). If you don't split an entree expect to take home leftovers because you will have them. The menu has a few exotic items on it as well for the daring. The main waiter does not have strong english skills so bear with that, but he is kind and it makes for a fun experience. I would recommend this place for take out as they don't have a solid grasp on American standards of customer service/speed but that's okay. Getting the bill at the end can take some prompting so don't be shy to grab their attention. Don't be in a rush when you come here and you'll be fine. The food has always come quickly when I've been there, usually only a few other tables occupied in the place. Price to value & volume of food it's a good option. Plus wacky Cambodian...
Read more1st time eating here and trying Cambodian food and it was a great experience! Ordered the Siem Reap Sour Soup, Pak Lou, & Lot Chha Hollywood Noodles. Pak Lou and the sambal type sauce that came with it was a winner!!! Haven't seen pig ear on the menu in MN and was missing the flavor and texture. Thiis dish really satisfied my craving. Siem Reap Sour Soup reminded me of a slightly sweeter Sinigang. Lot Chha noodles were tasty with lots of vegetables, shrimp, and squid! Many restaurants out here skimp on the shrimp or have very tiny, kinda fishy shrimps, but these were nice, bouncy, and fresh! Would definitely come back again to try other dishes. The lady taking orders and serving our food was also very friendly. She was kind enough to explain to us what was in the sambal type sauce that came with the Pak Lou because we loved it so much. Even got extra to take home with...
