I went to McDonald's to try out the new $5 meal deal. With it I got a McDouble cheeseburger, small french fries, small pop, and four chicken nuggets with sauce. It was very good. I also obseryve this certain McDonald's employee while I was there. I had trouble at first to find the $5 meal deal on my McDonald's app. An employee came over and helped show me how to find it. After I got my food, which came pretty quickly, as usual, I observed that same employee helping other guests who came in showing how to use the automated ordering system. The old days of going up to the counter, getting a smile from the employee, and having them take your order and payment, those days are gone. Fast food and other retailers need to save money and it's hard to hire enough employees. She was very patient about it. It. Sometimes in some McDonald's or other restaurants, the employees showing how to use the app or the ordering system are not so patient. However, she was! You feel much more welcome when you get help from someone who's nice doing it. The food was good and I think for $5 it's a pretty good deal in this day and age. I'm glad that fast food restaurants have reacted to consumers unhappiness with the high price of fast food. It's good when they offer specials so that one doesn't have to pay $10 or more to go to a fast food restaurant. Also, I like the McDonald's app. They have lots of good specials on it. Read moreI work nearby this McDonald's and usually I only order thru app for curb side pickup but since the app has been acting up I decided to go to the drive thru. Usually coming here I never EVER rude or bad customer service but again as I place my order from the drive thru along with a sprite. The person who handed my food did not even greet me as I pulled up and just quickly handed my order and not even thanking me which was really rude! I took a sip of my sprite and it was gross, tasted like carbonated water so I then went inside. Several customers were waiting by the counter not being helped and this younger fellow decided to come to the counter and help even though he looked as if he didn't want to help either. I approached him explaining about my fountain drink, he gave me a dirty look and asked what was wrong with the drink, I told him I just want a substitution because my sprite did not taste like a sprite so I asked him kindly to switch it to a coca cola instead, he walked away with eyes rolled and took forever to come back with my drink than I told him kindly if he can dispose my previous fountain drink, he states "trash is over there, you can throw it away yourself", with a nasty attitude. Read moreOrdered Curbside today for work as we always do and the app glitched when we pulled up to the numbered spot. Tried reloading the app. Nothing. Okay, no problem. I have the mobile receipt, so I'll just go to the counter and tell them what happened easy peasy as i have both the receipt and the payment went through (which means I can't cancel the order)/ The cashier who attended to us was short and rude and kept telling me that i didn't order anything because I didn't confirm the order, but like how can i do that if If the app isn't letting me. She kept asking me questions like what did you order? Is this even the right location? And I'm like yeah, it's all on the receipt- we order curbside all the time. Then she basically told me there's nothing they can do which is interesting because McDonald's FAQ states that any issues after the order is purchased has to be taken up with the location of purchase.
