PaJai Fruit Arrangements and Bakery — Restaurant in Saint Paul

I'm from out of town but when I happen to be in the St. Paul area, I love stopping by for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and for the meat roll buns--it satisfies my cravings every time! This past weekend was the first time I tried the baked taro and coconut buns, it's was so moist and delicious! If you're into something light, consider the taro or coconut buns. I love that each bun is individually wrapped, therefore it's great for on the go or at gatherings. Another great specialty and service are the fruit cakes. Though you see many home bakers now, PaJai's fruit cakes are light, natural, and can be made to order--just the way you like it for your special event. The prices are fair, and I will say comparable to fruit cakes being sold in the community. (Pajai made my Hmong wedding cake, and it was definitely a hit!)

Lastly, This is a minority owned shop. Despite all the limitations and pandemic, you can tell the owner and her family work very hard to accommodate her clients. I've witness the owner talk to customers to try to accommodate their needs, and I find it to be very refreshing to have such kind...

So far, this place has the best sponge cakes available!!! I wish she had a larger variety to select from, but it’s ok. I went to two other well-known places for sponge cakes and have eaten their cakes and they’re cakes were very drying versus this place, who had more moist sponge cakes! I can actually swallow the cake without choking on it and after each bite, I’d want to eat more! It’s not too sweet or too bland; it’s just perfect in my opinion! The fruits tasted sweet and fresh! I really love that she had decent sizes to buy at a reasonable price compared to other places I’ve been, where their quality of products weren’t even that great. She has awesome customer service, too! Also, her pricing for the cakes were very reasonable! The location is in a decent area of the frog town area, and it does have a decent amount of parking space. The bakery itself is a bit tiny, but no biggie if you’re just in to get your goodies and out in 5-10minutes. Thanks, Pajai!! I’m so glad I found this place! I happened to find them through a google search trying to find a last minute birthday cake and they really deliver with their cakes! They have FRUIT cakes ready made. I always thought you had to order those a few days ahead. Their cakes are delicious. They’re not dry at all and are still moist even after a couple days. The taste is sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet. It’s very light, but just enough. They also sell the cakes in single servings if you just have a craving. (They’ve got other desserts and a small table if you would like to eat there too!) They will write anything you want on the cakes, free of charge. A very friendly place with quick service.
