Refused Wendy's service shortly after 9pm on a Thursday evening.
On Thursday June 18th 2020 I visited this University Avenue Wendy's next to the Russian Tea House. I walked up to try & enter the Dining area or at least entrance in where I intended on ordering Carryout at.
The Wendy's dining room entrance was closed. This was not posted anywhere online nor outside the Wendy's store.
The Wendy's Drive thru employee then informed me that the dining area was closed.
I asked to place an order from the Drive Thru as what is called a "walk-up."
This Wendy's employee discriminated my request & refused to provide me customer service based on my lack of a motor vehicle.
While COVID-19 & Governor Peacetime Emergency Executive Orders may dictate some Minnesotans lives - they don't dictate mine nor are excuse for rotten or discriminate customer service.
Refusing a potential Wendy's customer based on no-car & refusal to offer "walk-up" services at a Wendy's drive thru is a terrible misrepresentation of the Wendy's Restaurant & Dave Thomas brand.
I can not recommend this University Avenue Wendy's location at this time if their employees are going to discriminate or refuse Wendy's customer service to those who visit their business when they are offering customer service to others.
Very rude & unprofessional Wendy's Restaurant dis-service & a sign that this University Avenue Saint Paul Wendy's has an allergy to $ales & an anti-social disease at generating money.
Maybe this Wendy's should consult with the CDC.Gov to see how to better offer customer services when currently turning away potential customers is a current unhealthy practice?...
Read moreI went at 9pm and ordered that new pumpkin seasonal frosty. There was barely any viscosity to it at all. 85% of it was seriously as liquid as water. I'm not even being facetious. I figured they must close at 10 and had already shut their dairy processor down and had to restart it for my order, but they close at 1am! So I guess that means that's just how they serve that thing? Bad. It's just a glorified eggnog.
On another note: I've come here twice now, and each time, their buns are almost completely stale. Wendy's is fast food, but it isn't exactly super cheap either. I definitely expect a fresher bun than the ones I've gotten, sadly. I suppose if you're going to get a sandwich here, I'd recommend getting the pretzel bun. I've heard good things about it.
When I first bit one, I noticed the fries weren't hot either. They'd clearly been sitting out there for the last hour :/ the staff fell a bit short of par as well but I get it considering how dilapidated the place is, I wouldn't want to work there either. I just can't believe nobody spoke up, and they actually served me such lukewarm fries and a milky pumpkin water frosty. Overall, it was a piss poor experience. I'm deleting...
Read moreTwo trips and two bad experiences.
First time, waited in the drive through for 15 minutes before ordering. After another 10 minutes, we pulled up to the window to pay and were told their card reading machine was out of order for the day and they only took cash. I mentioned that they should have told me that when I took my order and she replied in a very rude manner and mentioned that I needed cash and could come back for my food (which I didn't). Great waste of 30 minutes...
Next trip was about a month later. Pulled in and again waited 20 minutes behind maybe 3 or 4 cars in line before ordering. I could hear the driver in front of me complain about how it's taken 10 minutes since he got his food and he was still missing his drink. Anyways, after another 10 minutes, I pull in to pay and get my order. The young gentleman at the window was very nice and the only positive and non frustrating part of the experience. I only ordered 4 cheeseburgers with ketchup only for my kids. 3 of them ended up being ketchup only even though the receipt had everything correct.
Long story short, you will be waiting around 1/2 an hour, you may or may not get food, and it may or may not be what...
