I rarely give places 1 stars, but the experience with this Domino’s really left something to be desired. The upsides, I ordered online and showed up 10 minutes later and my food was ready. The parking lot and inside looked relatively clean. The downside, the staff were forgetful, not very friendly, and not observant of food safety. I ordered 2 pizzas, one with garlic parmesan sauce and one with red sauce, 3 cheese bread, and 1 pepperoni bread. The red sauce pizza was fine. The cheese bread and garlic parmesan were cross contaminated with red sauce, the reason I bring up the cross contamination, is food safety related concerns, as a member of the household has a mild allergy to tomatoes, normally it’s best to mention allergies, however it’s mild and almost never an issue, so I didn’t bring it up on the order, as most food places are responsible enough about cross contamination and food safety, that it doesn’t usually warrant mentioning said allergy. In this case, the tomato sauce was on almost every slice of pizza and in every slice of cheese bread. The employees were also observed opening doors and handling money with gloves on and not changing their gloves between going back and forth between food preparation. On Feb 17, 2025 I ordered a large 3-topping pizza from this Domino’s location. My request was straightforward: One half: Full pepperoni (no other toppings). Other half: Full chicken and pineapple (both toppings combined on that side).
This meant no extra toppings—just moving the chicken and pineapple (which would’ve been split across the whole pizza) entirely to one half, leaving the other half with only pepperoni. Instead of clarifying or accommodating this logical rearrangement, the staff insisted it required an extra charge. When I calmly explained the math (same total toppings, just rearranged), they accused me of being rude, refused service, and escalated the situation by calling the police, resulting in an unjust trespass warning.
To make matters worse, earlier that day, I called to confirm the order and was shouted at and told “not to call back.” As a Black customer, I’m deeply troubled by how quickly this store resorted to weaponizing law enforcement over a pizza customization dispute. Placed my order online. They had it out to me about 8 minutes upon my arrival. I thanked the gentleman who brought the pizza to my car, and tipped him. TIP THE WORKERS even if the workers just bring the food to your car.
I opened the box to put my dipping sauces in when I noticed pepperoni on the pizza. I did not think I ordered pepperoni as a topping, as I never do.
So I called the store and told the man on the other end that there was mistake had been made when preparing my order. He looked at his screen and said it showed pepperoni. So I looked my order up in the app, and sure enough, I had, mistakenly checked pepperoni. He offered to make me the pizza I had actually wanted, free of charge. I told him it was my fault and I'd just pick the pepperoni off. He told me it was not a problem and I had a fresh hot pizza made the way I wanted divered to my car in about 10 minutes.
I went to give him the other pizza back but he said to keep it. There are going to be some happy trash pandas in my dumpster tonight.
