Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Saint Peters

We have been huge fans of Papa Murphys on Zumbehl Road in Saint Charles that closed about 6 months ago. The store was always immaculate and well staffed with never a disappointment. We ordered weekly with same excellent results. The Midrivers store is a fair distance away but had a huge craving for the chicken bacon artichoke and decided to pick one up. I was on my phone and watching the pizza being prepared by a teen. Have never seen such a challenged kid adding spinach leafs one at a time then added small amounts of mozzarella and even fewer chicken pieces. Made a comment about of lack of ingredients and received only a smile and looked at me like I had 3 heads. In spite of this I somewhat felt sorry for the kid and decided to roll with the punches which is totally against my nature. I arrived home and set the pizza on the counter. My wife wanted to slap me for accepting the pizza. I did take a photo and searched for an email address for the manager with no success. Papa Murphy’s has a great product but would never return...

I've visited this location three times because my old location on Jungermann closed. Never had a problem there. The three times I've gone to this location, they have been out of something that I ordered and I had to get a refund. Even tonight, when I ordered at 3pm for a 6 o'clock pick up. I thought if I gave them three hours notice, my order might be complete. Once again I have been let down. Only reason I didnt give a 1 star is because I still love papa Murphy's food...and even if the pizzas don't look the greatest, they still have good flavor. The management here needs to work more to educate the staff on how to operate the shop. Running out of pizza dough on a friday night at 6PM on valentine's day when the heart shaped pizzas are a hot item is not good for business. PMurphy's St. Peters used to be very good with fresh ingredients; Sadly, it has changed. On 8-1-25, the take&bake pizza ordered was missing major toppings, and almost double the usual price. What WAS put on the pizza, we couldn't identify. Dark brown & soggy, the mystery topping was clearly spoiled. *We took a break from our weekly visits this past year, after an employee added a $5 tip to our debit card we had not approved. Expecting 50% tips on a "pick-up" pie we still had to stand & wait 50 minutes to take home, & bake ourselves, is obnoxious enough. But when one of their signature pizzas is made wrong, with bad, inedible ingredients that we had to remove -we won't be back anytime soon....
