I went to the Popeyes at 401 Salt Lick Rd, St Peters MO and when I pulled in there was about 4 cars in the drive thru line in front of me all waiting to place their order still (no one was at the pickup window). After about 10 minutes, the first car that was placing their order finally ordered and pulled around the building. A few minutes later, the car in front of me pulled off without ordering because they were tired of waiting. I continued to wait and the car behind me pulled off as well. I sat in the line for more than 20 minutes just to place my order and it wasn't like there was a line around the building. When it was my turn to order I had an automated prompt that said someone would be with you shortly and I still had to wait another 5 minutes to order. Judging by the other customers in front of me, I would assume this was the same practice taken with all customers, which makes sense as to why it was taking so long. After I placed my order, I never had a pop up on the screen confirming my order or anything, but the gentleman told me to pull around to the window. Once I got to the window, the guy asked me what I ordered and punched it into the computer as if the order was never recorded previously. I paid for my meal, was not given a receipt, and was told to pull into a parking lot along with the other 3 cars that had already ordered before me. We all already waited at least 20 minutes just to order and now we were waiting even longer?? After waiting another 20 minutes in the parking lot, my kid fell asleep, and I needed to get back to the house to put him to bed. I could not go inside the store to figure out what was going on because I had my sleeping kid with me, so I drove off and called my wife to call up there to refund my money. When she talked to the store, they told her that they cannot refund her money and that she would have to do it online. She told them that she already attempted to do it online and it would not allow her without a receipt. They told her that they will not give out a receipt until the order is finished but that she could file for a refund online without the receipt. She told them it would not let her, and they proceeded to argue with her and said the order is ready so you can come back and get it. We are very displeased with the service at this establishment. We will not be going back to Popeyes. Long story short, this store needs to get some management in place as there were 3 people in there that I could see and not that many customers, yet it was slower than a sit-down restaurant for service. Read moreAll of these 1-star reviews and complaints, and yet nothing has been addressed. I already filed a complaint with corporate and will continue to follow up until something is done. Period! This location is terrible and honestly deserves to be shut down. The food is just okay, but the customer service is awful. I’ve never met such miserable people.
Whoever this new manager is, her entire energy is absolutely disgusting. At her grown big age, she should be ashamed of her behavior. I order here often, and when there was a male manager, he was professional and kind. This lady is the complete opposite just ignorant and rude.
Here’s what happened: I went through the drive-thru. She didn’t greet me, didn’t speak nothing. She just rudely said they were out of dark sodas, so I settled with what they had. Fine. I get to the window, and still no words just “your total.” Then she says, “we don’t have enough bills, do you have change?” I gave her change. I then asked if I could get two legs, and she replied, “if we have some,” while slamming the drawer. I was the only car in line, and she couldn’t even bother to check. Lazy.
At that point, I went inside to get a refund because I don’t trust anyone with that energy handling my food. She threw my money on the counter instead of handing it to me. Childish behavior.
Headquarters needs to address this, because one thing about it, this location will never get my money as long as she’s there. Your business will not make money with customer service this poor. I hope that lady goes to seek mental help and receives additional training to improve her customer service...

When I arrived I saw 4 vehicles pulled up after being told "pull forward and we will bring it out to you." I didn't think anything of it initially since that's not unusual anywhere these days. I got in line in drive through, with 3 cars ahead of me. "Awesome it's not super busy and this should be quick" - or so I thought. 2 of the cars ended up not waiting and left. It took me 15 minutes to finally get to the board to place my order. 15min for essentially being next in line. A human (not recording or AI) said they'd be with me shortly. Spoiler alert - that was a lie. I watched them log several orders on the board. not sure if they were using the drive through register for lobby orders or what was going on. The 2 cars behind me got tired of waiting and left. I said "Hi are you there?" a couple times with no response. I rounded it out to a full 10 minutes waiting at the board before I gave up. 25 min total sitting in the drive through - cool, that's my lunch break and now I don't get to eat today. As I came around the building I saw 2 of the "pull forward " cars still waiting. And I tried to look inside through the windows and didn't see a single person, staff or customer.
