I am not a runner. I don’t exercise often. My boyfriend of over a year has taught me motivation and optimism through his running. Hayden has praised Artiken, its story and values for the past few months. Of course, I had to get him an amazing 20th birthday present. I recently ordered the Matumbo bracelet and an Artiken sticker so he can run, walk and drive all while wearing his new favorite organization. What’s amazing about the products are the stories behind each one. Each bracelet has a significance towards its name and color. “Matumbo” refers to the Nike Zoom Matumbo, a track shoe by Nike named after US elite distance runner Bernard Lagat. He quotes the spikes reminded him of a “Matumbo”, which means the “intestines” in Swahili. According to Lagat, this is the best part of the goat (Greatest Of All Time, pretty clever huh?). Artiken creators and designers obviously not only put amazing handcrafting skills into their products, but personal life messages that can inspire both athletes and non-athletes to strive for their best versions of themselves. I know Hayden does this each day when he does his 80+ runs a week and still continues to humbly critique himself. Even as an NAIA National Championship runner this past year, Hayden, like Paul Chelimo, looks forward to reaching his full potential and goes Hard or Suffer the Rest of Your Life. I highly recommend Artikens’ jewelry, clothing, and products to anyone that receives fulfillment from contributing to a good cause (10% goes to their Clean Water Project in Kenya) and promoting quality art & hard working people. The cause and sponsors have the approval and salute from this local Tally- Floridian. Read moreI have been a loyal customer with Artiken for almost two years. I first got the American flag bracelet, then the faith bracelet, the doUBT, and finally the Tinman x Artiken collaboration bracelet. I can honestly say that Artiken is a star amongst the running community. It not only helps runners here in the Unites States but it also connects them with those in need of clean water in Kenya. Artiken is an honest company that wants to help others and give them the opportunity to succeed and wear something that represents the definition of hard work and craftsmanship. Artiken’s mission has truthfully been succeeded in my eyes because the captured me as a customer. In a turn of events one day, my doUBT bracelet broke, and I sent an email over to Artiken asking for a new one of at all possible. While it was my fault for not understanding that it is quite easy to get the bracelets on, Artiken proved (once again) to be a company that cares so much for the community it serves. Likewise, when Chris picked up the phone one day (due to a shipping error on my part) I was extremely surprised due to the fact that the founder of Artiken was on the line. I was extremely humbled by the fact that the hard work in this company is real. I am currently an NCAA athlete so I am not allowed to be a brand ambassador but if I was to be, I would proudly represent this company and all...
Read moreAMAZING products and an AMAZING company! I work at a run specialty shop in Philly and I get a lot of compliments about my bracelet! I get pretty pumped about talking about Artiken and sharing the site with customers! When I found about this company through IG and what they do in return for every purchase made I had to buy a bracelet instantly. I was so excited to receive my bracelet I personally messaged Christopher to thank him for his work after I made the purchase online. We need more entrepreneurs like Christopher and we need to support positive businesses like ArtiKen. Not only are the bracelets authentic and individually handmade, Christopher and the ArtiKen team go above and beyond to take care of his employees. That is TRUE leadership and how we should lead by example. Thank you Christopher and the ArtiKen team for your work and efforts! You've not only created a positive company, but you've also educated others about another culture surrounded by the bracelet and to count our blessings! Christopher you the...
