I wanted to adopt a kitten. I already have 3 older cats, they dont adopt out one at a time they said I had to adopt 2 at a time. So I adopted 8 months old kittens. Turns out the kittens didn't work for our family ( it happens) however when I called them to let them know I'd like to bring them back I was criticized by Britain about how I don't have patience and I'm not giving it enough time. Whether that's the case or not I did not appreciate her talking to me like I was 2 feet tall. Samantha then gave me a call and she was VERY understanding and accommodating. Per contract I offered to bring the cats back to them instead of just giving them away. I brought them back last week, and got a card today in the mail about them checking in on us with the cats, definitely felt like another form of criticism. Considering that had to have been sent out within the past cpl days. Facility is clean and Samantha is nice, just remember taking on one more cat is a lot and they want you to adopt kittens...
Read moree fell in love with a juvenile cat at the Kat Kafe in St Petersburg on 1st Ave South. We submitted an adoption application to CJ Paws. The application said they would call our vet and 2 references. I called the vet and my 2 references and none of them were called. We were denied within 12 hours. We are household of 2 adults and a cat-which they said they wanted a cat for play partner to their juvenile. It appears that they do not really want to adopt these cats out to great homes, perhaps they are keeping them at the Kat Kafe as a money maker to make a profit at $17 per hour to play with the cats. I am very disappointed and we will not support such dishonesty and false advertising. Do not waste your time. My sdult daughter has a big heart and wanted to help these cats. Though after this experience, breeders seem a better decision. There is another facility called Cats and...
Read moreWe were looking for a second cat and came across CJ Paws. I have to say I was amazed by the cleanliness of this place as well as the quality of care. They are located in an office building and the cat room that we went into was set up with tons of toys, climbing perches on the wall, a cat wheel and a big screen t.v. with birds flying around on it. It was so cute. The staff was so helpful and so loving to all of the cats in the place. They take you into the room of the age cat you are looking for and tell you all about each one. Then they bring you toys and treats and leave you in the room to play with the cats for as long as you wish. We found the perfect cat for us here and she was so healthy and nice that we were able to integrate her with our other cat pretty much immediately after we brought her home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone...
