I think I am going to avoid this service center for now on. I showed up to my scheduled appointment time to get my service done and they tell me they can have it done by Tuesday. I dropped my car off Saturday morning at 9:30am. This was a little eye opening when they said they could get the windshield, alignment and rotation done in a day but just the windshield would take three business days. What’s the point of scheduling a time if it just means my car is going to be sitting around. They gave me a loaner which was nice but it also would have been nice to have a heads up about needing to leave my car at the service center for a prolong period of time. Also, I had a dog until last week, god rest his soul, but it would have been a huge inconvenience being told we need to have your car for four days and your dog can’t be in the loaner. I just found the experience disrespectful. Again, what’s the point of scheduling an appointment?
Finally, I picked up the car. Everything seemed fine. It was really nice to not have a bubble in the glass which I apricated but they charged me an additional $66 for Correction:Perform Post-Repair Validation Test Drive that they didn’t quote me. One of the reasons I’ve been so happy with my Tesla is that I don’t have to bring it in to the dealership where Jerry Ulm tells me I need to change my flux capacitor for $2,000 or else my car won’t be safe to drive. This experience brought back memories of that, and I feel taken advantage of by this Tesla Service Center.
Ultimately, I would be fine with them charging me more for this one service if it was done perfectly but it looks like the rearview mirror was hastily installed. It doesn’t seem to be perfectly aligned plus part of the cap doesn’t seem installed fully and there is a wide gap on the left side of the mirror. They charged me a lot in labor hours and I don’t feel like they worked on my car that long. I found excess sealant on my windshield which makes me think they installed the the windshield sloppy and fast. If I’m paying for a premium service. I expect it to be done right. I sent them multiple messages this morning and still haven’t heard back.
Safe to say, I am extremely disappointed with Tesla. Also, I have a warming of “Low Disk Space.” I have no clue what that means and haven’t heard back from the Service Center. The fact that their was a warning on my car when I left the service center makes me think they didn’t do the “Post-Repair Validation Test Drive.” I think next time, I’ll just take it to the...
Read moreFirst off, I would like to say that my first Tesla buying experience was the best car purchasing experience I have ever had. The actual purchasing of the car was easy and fast. They get a 10/10 here. Even the support I received when setting up my preferences and my wall charger, 10/10.
The car I purchased was a demo vehicle. During the sales process we, the sales person and I, noticed that the Full Self Driving program was loaded on the car. When I asked about it, the sales person informed me, more than one time, that the FSD was fully unlocked and would “come with the car”. I asked before I put $250 to hold the car, after the deposit and again before I transferred the money to make final payment. Each time being told, “yes, it comes with the car, lucky you”. The sales person admits that she told me that FSD was included. No issue there.
A few days later while setting up preferences I noticed in the Upgrades section that the FSD was set to expire in Aug 2024. I called my sales associate to inquire and she spoke to “the manager” who then concluded that FSD was not included. I was basically told, sorry, we were mistaken, it’s not included. I was also told that there was no one else that I could speak with and that I would need to call Support. No one in Support could help either. And there is no way to leave an Executive Complaint. Over the next two weeks I left messages for the sales team to return my calls. No response.
I don’t like to be “that customer” who complains, but when you are told that a car you are purchasing comes with something, and then you find out after the fact it doesn’t, well… The sales team basically swept my concern under the rug and made no effort to own up to their misrepresentation.
Since the FSD is merely a program, I doubt that it costs Tesla all that much to unlock. All I was asking for is to have access to what I agreed to purchase. I’m sure it’s not Teslas practice to deceive buyers and the sales associate just made a mistake. However, being told by the sales associate that demo cars are not all that common for purchase and don’t last very long and that it included FSD, I made the quick decision to purchase.
First Tesla buying experience went south real quick. Tesla is quick and easy to get you into a car, but after that, good luck speaking...

When my Cybertruck delivery date came up, they rescheduled at the last minute. I couldn't make the new time and they told me my only option was to not take delivery and wait for the next Cybertruck. Wild. I had to reschedule a flight, got there, and it wasn't ready--it was dirty inside and out. They told me I could come back the next day (which I couldn't) if I wanted them to finish prep. They ended up offering to clean it next time I brought it in. I also had to ask about the light bar, which they didn't bother to tell me was going to be delivered and installed later. They didn't show me my vehicle or tell me anything about it. As a first time Tesla owner/drive I was left on my own to figure it out.
I brought it back to be serviced (mirror not folding and air suspension issue) and they didn't do the cleaning promised on follow up. They also tried to kick the appointment out by three weeks for parts but when we complained they somehow got it in and got it fixed (how does that work?).
I requested the promised re-cleaning again, which was scheduled alongside a malfunctioning heater issue. They did a terrible job with cleaning... didn't even vaccum it, original sticker residue still present, blemish in the stainless still from delivery that they told me they'd get out, and the glass didn't get cleaned. They told me that they aren't a cleaning service and I could take it somewhere and pay to have it done... even though they are responsible for original vehicle prep that wasn't done and promised on next service. Not to mention they couldn't fix the heater. Had my car for five days and got nothing done. Wow.
Still no update on the light bar.
Also, both email addresses listed for service and delivery on the Tesla website...
