Poor, poor management, resulting our in high unexpected expenses from our Company. We made a reservation there 4 days ahead for their community room for coaches & board of directors dinner meeting. We went there personally to be sure we speak to someone about our meeting. We spoke to the manager Travis. We are a new 501-c-3. The company was on a tight budget. On the day of I called to ask about how to order food for 16 people when we are there. Only to find out that they double-booked the time slot and the manager couldn't tell while he was looking at the appointment book which group reserved first. He said he would call me back. He never did. I had to call him again. Then he told me that he was sorry the other party booked over a month ago and he knew them. I had 18 new members and I had to quickly find a place to go on with the meeting. Thanks to Red Lobster in North Saint St . Petersburg, they accommodated us. However, we ended up having to spend more than we expected. Two of our past members who traveled 80 miles for the meeting, didn't get the message on time. Ended up making a bad trip, missed the dinner meeting. Panera bread ruin it for us. Jut saying I'm sorry doesn't fix anything. The manager should have taken responsibility for his mistakes and should have done something about it. We tried to get in touch with a district manager and headquarter. No success. Read moreI want to state two things: I am a massive fan of Panera and I never have the tendency to write reviews. That being said, after my awful experience I was left to write and inform others of the terrible customer service regarding the manager of the store.
I arranged for a rapid pick up at a later time and called to see if I can arrange an earlier pick up. I was left on hold for 15 minutes. This is unacceptable. As soon as the manager answered the phone she did not apologize nor did she seem to emphasize with the situation. She sounded condescending and made me feel as if I was in the wrong. She insisted that it was impossible to change the time and that the rapid pick up was out of the store's control.
When I arrived at the store I confronted the manager about the scenario and she responded with malicious tone. I emphasize with store policy or that some request are out of your control, but patronizing a customer in the middle of your store is completely uncalled for and highly disrespectful. Despite her inability to address the situation, she should address the customer in the best mannerism.
I work in retail and I expect a certain type of customer service. She, by far, was one of the worst managers I have dealt with. She does not deserve her title and needs to understand that she is the foundation of the store. Read moreI chose one star because that was the lowest Choice possible. I've never had a bad experience at Panera Bread until today. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich which I paid over $12 for. I had looked at the menu prior to ordering and felt confident that I was ordering something that was going to be good. Nowhere on the menu that I read, or the Marquis inside the store did it say that the steak and cheese sandwich came with onions. I'm not a big fan of onions and especially not of the onions they served on this sandwich. The onions were pink and bitter with vinegar. It was disgusting. There were more onions in the sandwich then there was steak. So basically it was a vinegar soaked onion sandwich with steak. Totally disgusting. The sandwich was cut into two sections I didn't even get through half of 1 before I threw it out. 12 wasted dollars I will never get back! I will never ever order that sandwich again. Also at the time that I was placing my order, there was a lady who was very upset about the order she had placed. I had passed her in the parking lot on my way inside as she was yelling at her friend about how upset she was at Panera for messing up her order. Seems like I'm not the only one with issues about this particular Panera Bread.
