Do not go to this 4th st location!!! The manager is a liar the owner is just as bad.
I brought my samsung galaxy s23 ultra a 1400$ phone in for a repair of the front glass(a hairline crack phone fell of a table.) the repair was through my carriers insurance policy.
when i fist got there we took the phone out of the case and inspected the damage (only on the front) the rest of the phone was in lice new condition from being in a case since purchased. I sign the phon im amd leave it for the 3 hour screen repair. I return after work to pick up my phone and everything seems fine at this point. He says everything went well so i take my phome amd leave. I get home go to show my roomate it was fixed remove it from the case and see the entire back of my phome is smashed. like spider cracks all over from the bottom right cormer. there is even scratches to the metal frame of my phone. I call the store back and the manager answers(same guy that "fixed" my phone) i tell them my issue with the back and his responce is "i thought it was already like that" well no you didnt... the samsung galaxy s23 ultra cant be fixed with the back broken because samsung requires them to do testing after and it needs to be waterproof.
at this point i just want it fixed so i bring it back in, they "repair" the back for free. i finally thing im done dealing with this terrible company. Nope of course not. a week passes and instart noticing a bunch of debris in my front camera opening. so i make time and go in again.
this time they say they will clean and try to reseal it, but "they will neber be able to seal it waterproof again" i told them thats unexeptable, i came i for a repair to bring it back to manufactuer standards if it isnt fixable i want to just replace my phone, and that i wamt the frame replaced as well due to the damage they cause to it. they agreed to talk to the owner and watch the video from my service to see how it broke. its been weeks they continue to lie and lie i even had ti call the sister location infront of the manager and ask about repairing it with a broken back. he stood there like a deer in headlights.
long story short, i will not be bringing anything back to that location and i will be brining it to the pinellas park location next saturday to be repaired correctly.
Avoid this location at all cost! thet will break your phone, lie to you, and do not have the skills required to make the...
Read moreI dropped my PS5 off a week and a half ago because all of the sudden the system wouldn't output any video through the HDMI port. I never received any sort of confirmation or any updates either via email or text on the status of the repair. I had to call in a few days later to get a generic status email and text sent to me. The rest of the week went by and I did not get any update at all. All of the sudden today I got a text saying that the depot was unable to make the repair and that I could come and pick it up at any time. When I arrived, they handed me a PS5 which was obviously not mine but had my name on a sticker on it. It was dirty and gross and had a bunch of other stickers on it. After giving it back to them, they were able to find mine, which was sitting in an unopened box in the lobby. At this point in the mix up, I was questioning the status of my system and whether the depot worked on my system at all, or if it even shipped out since I had zero updates whatsoever. When they gave the correct system back to me, they told me something completely different than what the text said. The text said that they attempted to replace the HDMI port but failed. But the store associate said that they didn't even work on my system at all due to a biohazard. Something about the system being dirty and there being literal bugs (insects) in the system. This was absolutely not true. The system was in pristine condition and nearly clean, only a small dirty mark on the outside of the case. To say that there were bugs in the system was absolutely absurd. The power at the store also happened to be out (not their fault), so I was unable to have it tested to see if it was in the same condition as it was when i dropped it off. I went home and tested it and fortunately it powered on like before, but the HDMI issue was still there. I literally have no idea what was done with my system at this point, if anything at all. This was a terrible experience and I would appreciate it if someone reached out to me to discuss if anything can be done for me. Thank you.
Edit: Richard made it right on the second try. He was understanding and apologized for the bad experience. It's unfortunate what I went through the first time, but because of how I was treated this time around, I'm updating my review to a 5...
Read moreInitially was told it would cost 100 or 200 to fix my system. I agreed to try the 100 fix because if it cost 200 i wouldn’t fix it I could just throw in an extra couple of bucks and buy a refurbished machine from GameStop. I was assured I’d receive a call before anything further was needed. Fast forward I receive a call the system is ready for pick up the 100 fix corrected my issue…just to get home and it doesn’t work properly! Like did you not ensure it was fully functioning prior to?? I take it back and later get a call they say ok the first remedy didn’t work so it’s for sure the alternative but I was assured i wouldn’t have to pay anything further. I challenged this information and was placed on hold so that the staff member can confirm this information again. He did so and it was confirmed I would not owe anything extra(if it would be extra I would not have proceeded with a fix). So I agreed to get it fixed given it would take up to another week. Fast forward I get a call that it is ready for pick up again. Immediately I notice this pick up is not a quick in and out process as before, the guy is talking sooo much delaying this easy pick up about what was done to the system and previous conversations etc etc just to end it with I owe an additional $150 due to me being given the wrong information. I was told 3 different times one thing, even within the call letting me know my system was ready for pick up again I was told no additional payment due; just to get to the store within 1-2 hrs from the call and be charged extra because “the tech gave the wrong information”….but 3 times??!! I ended up just paying an additional $53 instead of the $150 but it was a scam because if it was over the 100 I had made it clear I didn’t want to...
