St Pete Cellars — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

We came to the grand opening event yesterday and had an awesome time! The space is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely garden and patio in the front. The bottle shop is extensive and everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable. You can give them any sense of preference, what the occasion is, or what you’ll be eating and they can provide you with the best pairing options. Bottles are from all over the world, and the prices are extremely accessible— I saw bottles ranging from $13 to $85 — so there is something for everyone. They keep some bottles on the shelf and some chilled, and offer various snack/charcuterie items too.

If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy a bottle with friends (or solo…) definitely check this place out! We moved from St. Louis to St Pete and, being avid wine collectors, we were in search of a quality wine storage cellar. None were to be found in either St Pete or Tampa that could hold a significant amount. Then we received an invitation to the opening of ST PETE CELLARS. The owners, Roy and Rhonda Whitehead, warmly greeted us and gave us a tour. It was beautiful, clean and bright and what was a wonderful surprise were the 2 lovely decorated group wine tasting rooms, complete with a fully stocked kitchen with all the necessities. The regulated weather control storage area was sparkling clean with temperature control with generator backup. We said: Look no more! I had the pleasure of touring this facility today, tucked away in the North Kenwood neighborhood. First impression, keep your wine here! It's a state-of-the-art facility with a superb, secure climate controlled warehouse sporting all the tech and tracking one would expect when storing rare and valuable wines.
