I had one of the worst experience of my life. I decide to get an smoothie for me and one for my six year old son. I placed the order on the computer and then paid for it, the cashier asked me if I wanted the receipt and I reply with a no, thank you. While I was waiting for the smoothies, I decide to buy some chips for me and my son. I paid for them and again the cashier asked me if I wanted the receipt and I reply with a no, thank you. I went back to wait for the smoothies. When they were ready I took the smoothies and when I was leaving the store, the police from the store stopped me and asked me if I paid for my stuff. I reply with a yes and then he asked me for the receipt. I told him that I had no receipt. He asked me to show him the bag where I had the chips and if I dont show him the receipt, he will take me to jail. I explained to him that I had no receipts because the cashier asked me if I wanted the receipt and I said no. I pulled out my bank account info from my phone and show him the transactions. No need for that. That was a very disrespectful and negligent attitude from wawa’s team, managment and security. I was very nervious, I was just looking at my son and the people around looking at me. Was very embarrasing. I go to that wawa all the time. I recommend wawa to everyone but now I should aware the people of the harrasment they can get for negligent wawa’s team members and management. I asked my little boy if he understood what happened and he told me “The police thought you were stealing because you had no receipt” Honestly... One of the worst...
Read moreI want to share a story of incredible kindness with you. My friend fell at this Wawa store location and was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was operated on immediately and had a rod placed in his hip. When he came to after surgery, we tried to figure out where he left his car, and apparently it was at this Wawa location.
I spoke with Jim at the customer service call center, who couldn't have been more professional and sympathetic. Jim contacted the store location and Wawa staff had moved his car away from the pumps and did not tow it so as to save my friend the additional towing and storage expense, which was so thoughtful of them.
How often is it that a gas station off the interstate displays such kindness and thoughtfulness? Both the customer call center representative, Jim, and the store location employees were so helpful and kind that I just had to post a review sharing this story.
I already had a good impression of Wawa, but mostly because their food is really quite good if you take the time to have them make you a customer order sizzli sandwich or breakfast burrito. A few weeks ago, I took my family to Orlando for short vacation and the food was so surprisingly good we stopped off there every day for breakfast which was fast, good, and inexpensive and saved us time so we could head to the theme park and get in a full day. Wawa...
Read moreI'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but Stephanie was not customer friendly. I went inside to get some pre ordered drinks and the cashier was having a little trouble because he didn't know the drinks were already paid for. The cashier guy offered to pay for our drinks out of appreciation because he understood we already pre-ordered the drinks. But Stephanie took it as he was trying to give us the drinks for free, and when I tried explaining the situation she totally ignored me and went on belittling the cashier (which I know had to be embarrassing on his part) about how he never does his job right and basically accused him of giving away free drinks, when really he was going to pay for them for us... I don't know any other cashier that's willing to pay for a customer's drinks when something like this happens and I appreciated him for that, I just don't like the way Stephanie embarrassed him and made a big scene out of the situation. (PS. My girlfriend is the one that made the order for the drinks, I just went inside to pick them up. I still ended up paying, but after he checked me out he realized the drinks were already preordered. In the middle of us trying to figure everything out that's when the lady Stephanie came in and started scolding him claiming he giving away drinks...
