The Blend (Central Ave) Coffee and Cocktails — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

This was a regular spot for me on my way to work, stopped coming in shortly before the hurricane. So I’ve been craving my fruity pebbles drink for A LONG TIME. At one point was even going to order the lavender syrup and make it myself. Well today I had a few extra dollars and decided to treat myself. If you’ve ever ordered the fruity pebbles you know the drink is a milky purple, looks beautiful. Well today that’s not what I got. I got what looked like a regular coffee. I was kinda upset cause I was looking forward to the purple. I’m including a screenshot of the drink off their mobile order website to show what it’s supposed to look like. When I told the lady at the window it’s supposed to be purple they said they don’t do the dye anymore… if that’s the case maybe you should update your online photos to reflect that. It also doesn’t really taste the same either. Kinda disappointed… edited to add that I also ordered their bacon gluten free breakfast sandwich and got sausage instead and no cheese…. It seems like this location is starting to go downhill based on all the other reviews. I think maybe the owners need to step in and...

We came around 8am on a Monday morning to try a coffee flight. There was 1 car in the drive thru and nobody at the walk up window. We parked & walked up to the window. I asked if I could mix & match a few from the regular coffee flight and a few from the specialty fall flight if I was willing to pay the higher flight price because I don't like pecan. I was told no. I said ok well can I just skip the pecan and have 2 pumpkin instead (included in fall flight). Again I was told no. Absolutely zero customer service, no flexibility. Not busy, just very unwilling to offer any options. I wasn't asking for something free, or anything that would cost the company more money or anything that would take more time or labor. My friend offered to drink the pecan & I ordered the fall flight for $14.50. The presentation was pretty but each small glass was so filled with ice & whipped cream I hardly got anything to drink.

I was on this side of town and wanted to try a new place ordered an iced drink and forgot to ask about sweetener and was not asked that during the order, so after realizing that I came back and asked if I could add it and was willing to pay, but was only offered sugar packets (that I will still have to pay extra and will not be able to melt in an iced drink) and said the liquid sugar will not be able to give it to me without recharging me for the whole drink (apparently could only add that with an order and not by itself) so I walked away with a drink I wasn’t happy with. I try to support local but it felt very cold and distant, I honestly wish I would have gone to the Starbucks across the street. I wanted to like this place as they offered a flight that I wanted to try but I will not be back and will stick to coffee...
