I'm writing this review while visiting during COVID, so your experience may vary.
There were very little food options. When you visit their website there is an extensive menu online but when you get there there is only about 5 options for food now. And no vegetarian or vegan options whatsoever. My sister politely asked the bar tender if they have any vegetarian options and the bar tender was very rude to her when she asked and mentioned maybe they should consider in the future adding some vegetarian options (they have a much larger menu with options online/pre-covid). She had looked at the menu before coming and saw the cheese quesadilla and asked if maybe the kitchen would consider making her one since she was a vegetarian and there was nothing on their current menu she could eat, and he was very rude about it.
The food was OK. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was a good burger but nothing grand. Same burger as anywhere else. I was kind of surprised that a $14 burger didn't come with fries, but with a bag of chips.. which also wasn't mentioned on their menu that they have written on a chalkboard. Their usual menu pre-Covid that you can find online states that it comes with a bag of chips, but not now. The menu online also had many vegetarian options - cheese quesadilla, veggie burger, etc, but again, they now offer none of these options.
They had very limited seating, only 2 tables for people of 4. We were there for a while and the table next to us was empty and dirty and still had crumbs on the table that we never saw get cleaned or wiped down for the ~1hr we were there. It looked like not a lot of cleaning of the table surfaces was done often.
I will say that the drinks were great (the Mango Tango was amazing!) and about the same price as everywhere else, and of course, the view and the beach itself were beautiful, but the beautiful view is not something Sapphire is really responsible for.
I give it 1 star for the drinks, and a generous 2nd star for the view. Dirtiness, rude service, and the menu represent the 3...
Read moreWe visited Sapphire Beach Bar on May 29, 2025, during our honeymoon, having paid $200 for the experience as part of our first cruise. Unfortunately, our visit was completely soured by the rude and dismissive attitude of the male bartender working that day.
After enjoying five days of all-inclusive service on Royal Caribbean, where the food and drinks were excellent, we were looking forward to continuing the celebration. We ordered a piña colada and a strawberry daiquiri while browsing the food menu. Not only were both drinks watered-down and bland compared to what we’d had on the ship, but the service was shockingly bad.
When the bartender asked to start a tab, I reached for my wallet and realized we had mistakenly left our cards behind. Thankfully, we had some cash, but came up just $1 short of covering the $28 total. We immediately acknowledged the situation and felt bad about not being able to tip. We asked if Apple Pay was accepted (it wasn’t) or if there was an ATM nearby (there wasn’t). I politely explained the situation, expecting a little understanding.
Instead, the bartender flatly responded, “Okay, what do you want me to do about that?”, with zero empathy or professionalism. I replied that we could probably find a dollar, and he dismissively said, “Okay, find a dollar.”
This interaction was baffling and left a terrible impression. It’s not like we ran up a huge tab and were trying to avoid paying, we were one dollar short and actively trying to make it right. That kind of attitude and low-quality experience is...
Read moreMy visit to Sapphire Beach Bar was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled along the picturesque shoreline, this hidden gem offers an unbeatable combination of vibrant island energy, exceptional service, and a thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates the flavors of the Caribbean.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, setting the tone for a relaxing, memorable experience. The drink menu is a standout, brimming with fresh, inventive cocktails that strike the perfect balance between tropical flair and mixology mastery. I highly recommend the signature Painkiller—smooth, rich, and just the right kick of nutmeg. The Frozen Bushwacker also deserves praise; it's decadent and refreshing all at once, like a dessert with a twist of beachside indulgence.
As for the food—every bite was a testament to quality and freshness. The grilled Mahi tacos were a highlight: expertly seasoned, topped with crisp slaw, and served with a zesty aioli that tied it all together. The jerk chicken sliders offered a bold punch of flavor without overpowering, while the loaded nachos were perfect for sharing and came piled high with all the right fixings. Even the simpler offerings, like the hand-cut fries, were executed with precision and care.
What sets Sapphire Beach Bar apart is its balance—relaxed yet elevated, casual yet refined. Whether you're in for a light lunch with a view, or winding down with cocktails at sunset, this spot captures the essence of island dining at...
