Senors earned these stars from me. I read some reviews before coming and was a little apprehensive. First, people who are from New York shouldnt be allowed to rate pizza. I had a large supreme, and two bottles of bud light. I didnt call ahead. There were a few people there eating as I arrived well before dinner hours. The deliveries ran out the door steady the entire time I was there. Many locals came in for pick up. The staff was polite, and checked on me to make sure I was satisfied. Now to the pizza. It came out immediately from the oven. The way a pizza should. You can hold your hand over pizza to decide if it's cool enough to eat yet. No need to blister your mouth. The toppings were fresh, and balanced. The cheese was gooey and good. The sauce was nice, and not overly acidic. The crust was crispy, in a good way. I tried to fold a piece just out of curiosity from other reviews, and it folded and didnt slump over. It was not greasy, no dripping mess. The flavors altogether were good. I'd definitely recommend you stop by and enjoy a...
Read morePizza was really good but I’m giving it one star because the cashier tried to steal from me. I read and heard good reviews about this place so I decided to check it out. I get there and the cashier says they only take cash so I go to the atm to get cash. I order my food and my total came to 29.00 and I give the cashier 40 dollars and he hands me back a dollar and I look at him and he just stares at me. I said, a dollar and he continues to stare and put it in the top box. I wait and I said you owe me 10 more dollars. He stands there still with the cash register open and smiles and says, “oh yeah, long day.” He knew what he was doing but was seeing if I was aware!!! Visitors be aware. I went there on a Wednesday evening at 7pm on 5/5/21. They know who their worker is. After the fact he tried to be extremely nice and bring stuff to our table and offer. I get it, it’s a pandemic but you don’t steal from your customers or first time...
Read more(one year later) It's gotten better since I wrote this review a year ago. I'm not sure what changed or who changed but it's better.
Old Review - 2-star If youre from NYC and you lived around the corner from Bronx's Little Italy like me.. sigh.. this pizza is trash. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because I haven't tried everything there so I'm leaving room for hope. Maybe the chicken wings are good but I'm not going back to find out.
Why?
The dough is flat and chewy. Every attempt to chew was a fight. No crisp, no crunch. When you fold it, bends like cardboard. No cracks, no oil seeping thru. The cheese tastes a bit better than plastic. Little to no flavor. However, the sauce they use was actually pretty good.
I'll be trying out other spots in the future. But, if this is the best pizza on the island, my heart breaks...
