Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Salem

Waitress was not only VERY RUDE; She rushed us from the very beginning. As for one thing , I was talking to her, and she said something so fast we couldn't understand her. I asked her to please slow down her talking, especially since my husband is 83 yrs old, can't hear well and wears hearing aides. She made no attempt to slow down in her speech nor her service. I even had to repeat what she said to my husband because he couldn't understand her. I'm not hard of hearing, and I couldn't understand her.As I was talking to her, she said something fast and left us before I could finish talking to her. Also, Jess was serving the section we were sitting in. Jess started waiting on us in our section, then our waitress stole our table from Jess. I'm not sure what our waitress's name was. I think it was Rachel R. She had a blonde pony tail. Jess has brown hair. I have NEVER had such a rude waitress!! IF I come to Applebees again, I will certainly AVOID Rachel R. I hope I'm remembering her name correctly. Food was delicious, service TERRIBLE!!! She certainly didn't deserve a tip and I certainly didn't leave one. I asked her how to join Applebees dining club, but she didn't help. I'm very shocked she is employed...

I think the real manager was on vacation or something cause hadn’t seen her back since Valentine’s Day but she’s Camille and she’s great the woman who worked in her place was absolutely terrible berating employees in front of customers from across the restaurant. It’s so uncomfortable being there when she is there. Honestly we haven’t seen her in a bit but we used to scope out the area for her as soon as we walked in cause we didn’t want to be there with ms attitude. Her yelling from behind the bar or from the door by the kitchen and yelling at employees that are at the front with customers like my gosh I wanted to call her out right then and there. Can’t stand nasty women

Took her sweet time talking at bar never even came over to help us just yelled from behind the bar while talking to her friend who shows up 3 times a week cause she’s there every night we go! I said yes please when she asked if we needed to go boxes. And she acknowledged me. Then went straight back to talking to her friend. We have been here before and all she does is talk this same woman at the bar. Her service is terrible I know people are short staff but you will be short customers if she keeps acting like that especially...

Problem with our server. Polite but disengaged. Didn't know or display the 5-points to customer service. Never asked how meals were, never asked in timely fashion (waited until after I ate) to offer refills on wine or beverages, never asked about coffee dessert. Asked for med burger got well done. My friend asked for med well steak, it was bloody AND the sauce was so salty it was uneatable. Had to flag down a busboy to ask for a manager to order new steak or at least cooked med well with out all the salty sauce. Burger TASTED fine but we had to wait over 45 minutes for initial dinner and another 40 minutes for fixed steak. I ate my burger as slow as possible, but it was awkward. By the time her dinner arrived, I had already eaten my meal. And I could of sipped on a new glass of wine, while she ate, but we never saw the waitress after she took our original order. She showed up with the check after my friend finished her meal. I think I bend over backwards to be understanding as I'm in the business but she was the worst waitress I have ever had. EVER! I STILL tipped her 20%, just because maybe her dog died or some other tragedy she was trying to deal with. Who knows....
