Just be careful of their service desk tricking you into a BJ club credit card. We got tripped up on the serivce girls words and we dont want anyone else falling into the trap because they are lieing about they are doing. This past September we went in and the service person offered my husband a "free upgrade" that she was hooking us up. Wrong. she was in fact not helping us but twisting words so that she could sign us for credit card we did not want. It luckily got denied but will still affect our credit. My husband was told it's not a credit card and that he doesnt have to pay more for the upgrade and that our membership wont go up next year either..I didnt believe for a second. Went to check our online account she not only signed us for the higher membership that we will absolutely be charged for in a year but she also signed us up for easy renewal which we also didnt want. Even though the whole time my husband said I dont want a credit card but she told him no no I know you dont want it im just "hooking you up with a free upgrade" My husband trusting this statment went a head only to find out she took his information and did the application. even though he said no to a credit card and never even did the application himself. (She rushed and clicked through things on her computer not informing him of what she was doing) We only found out once we got the letter in the mail. I know there was misunderstanding from our part but the moment my husband said I dont want a credit card this interaction should have stopped. There should have been no application pushed through. We called the store and one the mangers (who was as helpful as possible) mentioned that this has happened before and that they are trying to fix it so that their employees aren't still doing it or setting people up for this.    Read moreI happened to bring own personal items from next-door at Salvation Army without a bag because they do not hand out them so I kindly said to the checkout person that I was coming in with items that I didnât purchase here and didnât want to think I was stealing. So they placed them at the optical Centre in a bag for me until I was done shopping. On my way out when I went to retrieve my personal items they told me I wasnât allowed to retrieve them because the person was on break and I had to wait an hour. I said all you have to do is just grab my bag on the counter and the lady said I could not do that and she wasnât allowed to go over there. She was extremely rude about it and she wanted me to stand there for an hour waiting for the lady to come back just to grab my personal items. Her name was Irene and she was extremely unprofessional! I asked for a manager so they could retrieve the items for me and she refused to go get anybody and just gave me massive attitude. And coming from a person who just read reviews from this location in salem Hampshire I can see that this lady is awful to a lot of people and thereâs extremely bad reviews about her and I think something needs to be done about her attitude at the workplace.    Read moreMy recent visit to the Salem NH location was an absolute disaster. The system would not let me use my rewards. That was not the first time this has happened. The cashier then got assistant which did not help so we had to get moved to the customer service desk. At that time the cashier was giving us straight attitude and making faces at us behind our back. The customer service saw that we had rewards but had no reason why we couldnât use them. We were then told we had to re-ring the transaction which we didnât want to do since we had already waited 30minutes to ring it out in the first place. Well we ended ringing the order, we just scanned the membership card not the credit card with member number on it. Everything worked that way. Then we made a suggestion that they work on getting this issue fixed so it doesnât continue for us or anybody else. The cashier jumped right back and said it was our problem we need to check out why it is not working. She continued to talk over us never listening to a word we said.
