Placed a pick-up order during a Saturday lunch hour. Place was very clean. Staff professional.
Ordered 8 Carne asada tacos. 4 with Cojita. a side or yellow rice, fries and elote.
Tacos were amazing. Meat was not dry. Very tasty. I just didn't quite understand the chunks of sautéed onions on the side. The red sauce that came with it was VERY spicy, and I enjoy spicy. If you love cilantro, ask for more, unless you have it at home like me. It definitely needed extra. The corn taco shell was perfect too. Not doubled like most places & didn't really fall apart easily like other tacos usually do. They were thick sturdy and tasty!
I did not try the fries but my son ate half the order.
The yellow rice was great. It just surpassed the level of having no flavor. Its just a preferance issue. It was not dry at all. Very fluffy! I would eat it everyday.
The elote... I wouldn't get again. It was okay. However it had ALOT of mayo. I make this occasionally at home and this just reminded me of a to go container of potato salad. The mayo over powered the whole thing. I will mix it with something else, maybe if I make my own Mexican style rice bowl. If I had a 2 whole sides of rice, this could mix well with the elote, to tame down the mayo & add a bit more flavor to the rice.
I forgot to order the horchata, I will be looking forward to trying that next time!
The to-go packing was fine too. Plastic snap containers for the tacos with a wax type food liner sheet under the tacos, they were a bit greasy but the liner absorbed some of the oil from the meat and the corn taco shell held up great! Fries and rice were in a round black Tupperware container. I did have trouble putting the lid back on to save the leftovers, I actually couldn't get it back on so I used my own Tupperware for the rice and just put the fries in foil. The elote came in a small round...
Read moreWe got takeout here last night. DELICIOUS. We were over in the Tuscan Village putting some gift cards to use - and had two starving children. My wife and I were pretty hungry ourselves. I quickly found this place on Google Maps and saw all the great reviews. My wife got online and started our order while I started the 6 minute drive to Vallarta. We got myself a huge burrito, her a burrito bowl, the kids a quesadilla and chicken tacos. All of it was VERY reasonable in my opinion (~$40). On top of that - it said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I showed up in 7 minutes thinking I might be early and there it was all packaged up and ready to go. The vibe inside was a LOT of fun too. They were playing some good music, and everyone genuinely seemed to be having a great time.
We got home and had a WONDERFUL dinner with the kids. Everyone loved their food and were talking about how pleasantly surprised we were to find a great new...
