I started coming here for my morning coffee at the beginning of the year after getting fed up with the Dunks roulette (those from Mass & NH know). Especially since their coffee is getting too expensive to keep pouring down the sink because it tastes like sewage. I can't say enough good things about Crack'd. I've tried other coffee spots but theirs is the hands down the best. Their food is phenomenal too; I've never had anything off their menu that I didn't like, and their limited time specials are always great. (Although the chicken & biscuit sandwich remains my fave.) Plus their menu is very reasonably priced for the quality. Even the ketchup is delicious. I recently went to Dunks and paid almost the same amount for a coffee that was so burnt I couldn't finish it. Other places and chains are too expensive or have extremely long waits and terrible parking. Crack'd has absolutely turned me into a "coffee snob" haha But where Crack'd truly shines is the staff. No matter when I go or how busy it is (and this place gets very busy!), they are always so friendly and welcoming. And it's everyone, from the front of house to the cooks. Whenever I visit (and I'm here a lot... lol) they're always smiling and they are all just the sweetest people even in the chaos of the breakfast rush. It's one thing to make great food, but great people make it even better and Crack'd wins there. I talk this place up to everyone I know because it really is that good. Truly a gem in Salem.

It's almost heading next to an ice cream store. It's long and narrow. The number of seating is very limited. Most of the space is in the entryway where people wait and the kitchen and the counter area. So it looks like it's mostly calculated to be a takeout place. It's right off route 28 so it's easy to miss because of its location. And it's name does not lend itself to be at breakfast or lunch restaurant. It is my view that the food is overpriced. I had a sandwich with turkey and the bread was almost soaked in oil. And while oil is tasty it's not healthy. If you are an adventurer and then you should try this place at least once. I just don't know what to make of it. But it certainly doesn't deserve a five-star rating by any stretch of the imagination. The people who give this four or five stars do not know how to read eateries.

Tried for the first time after wanting to for a while since I don’t live in the Salem area. Placed an over the phone order since I had my pup in the car. I was unfortunately very underwhelmed with my selected sunny chorizo bowl. The sweet potato hash was barely edible as it was really undercooked so I couldn’t force much of it down. There was barely any chorizo and they were teeny tiny bits at that. I think it would be a good idea to cut the chorizo bites almost to the sweet potato cubes but that’s just my humble opinion. Esp when it just seems like a $13 bowl of sweet potatoes. Staff was pleasant and I really enjoyed my passion iced tea. I think I’ll stay away from the sweet potato hash next time & maybe just try a breakfast sandwich.

UPDATE* I am still amazed at the taste and quality of Crack'd Kitchen's food. Alan and his team here in Salem definitely are cooking up a recipe for success. The new menu items are a refreshing update, and great choices. Amazing sandwiches, delicious coffees, and outstanding service and food. This is still one of my favorite places to stop for breakfast, whether I am in a rush, or want to have a casual, sit-down bite to eat.

Original Review: OUTSTANDING food and customer service! I work close to the Salem Crack'd, and have ordered from both locations several times. The food is real, wholesome and delicious, and service is always excellent; But what prompted me to write this review was my most recent experience. I placed me and my coworker's lunch order with Crack'd via Uber Eats. As the time for delivery was approaching, I was not receiving any updates from UE on the delivery of my order. I then received a call from the owner of Crack'd. He informed me that UE was not able to locate a driver for my food, and that he had reported the issue to UE. He then asked where the food was going, and informed me he would have a staff from the restaurant deliver the food. In no time at all, the food was delivered, and much enjoyed by me and my coworkers. It is very pleasing to do business with a company that is willing to go so above and beyond for its patrons. I cannot say enough for the positivity of all my interactions with Crack'd, and will definitely be returning for more great meals and...
