Personally, I'm a little surprised at the previous few extremely low 1-star⭐ ratings (other than the 3rd one about 'taking a picture of yourself there dood', which is so brief and off-topic that it doesn't even make sense or apply (I don't understand why people post comments💬 like this)). Granted, I do agree that if someone isn't completely satisfied with their service, then it's their understandable right/perogative/etc. to voice their opinion🗯 - ie: if the 🍽food/(salad🥗) wasn't quite what you expected, then it's fair enough to say so; and if the management didn't offer compensation or even an apology for a fairly messed up order❌, then I agree that that is pretty shabby and rather a shame - but what these people didn't take into account and failed to mention is that their experience here (as well as mine) was based on days during a very busy festival🎉 (the Salem Super Cruise🚘) and thus the busiest day for downtown all year. We ourselves kind of had to wait a somewhat long-ish while for our food as well, but we didn't really hold it against them seeing as how relatively full/packed the place was. (Furthermore, on top of the place being pretty newly opened and perhaps still getting their feet on the ground I presume, I don't fully expect them to account/adjust their staff👨🏻🍳 capability simply for 3 un-ordinarily busy days out of the whole year.) And beyond this, even while we did wait, our waitress was attentive enough: refilling our coffee☕ and checking on us a couple times. As for the food itself (a large pepperoni roll🍕 and small stromboli🥖 that we all shared), I won't say that it was necessarily "out of this world" delicious or anything (and the pepperoni roll could have had more pepperoni in it), but it was tasty enough, was ♨️hot and fresh, and was a really big portion for the price (from what I saw while perusing the menu, most of the food seemed fairly reasonably 💲priced in my opinion). As for the atmosphere, the place has that sort of 1/2 lively 1/2 mellow easy-going vibe of a typical crossover 🔪restaurant/bar🥃 type of establishment. And overall, I think that this nicely positioned corner building🏢 was renovated rather nicely inside with a simply clean/contemporary/updated look but along with exposed bricks, nice woodwork(such as the bar), the (most likely) neat looking original ceiling, and a few touches here and there that give it vintage feel and 'historical charm'. (I do hope that they plan to fully renovate🏗 the outside of the building at some point though, because it doesn't look merely 'rustic'/natural but instead unfinished and kind of scrappy🏚). Overall, I personally had a pretty decent experience here, would/will go back in the future to try it out on some more occasions, and am glad to see that this place is finally open and breathing some new life into the downtown. And if there are any flaws/problems/negative attributes/etc. with the place (beyond my personal experience's scope), then I hope that the establishment itself and the community patrons👥 friendly work together to overcome them in order to proactively make this 🍴restaurant as good as it can be - because I think that this place has the potential to be a nice...
Read moreI know it's new so I went 3 times because I really wanted to give this place a chance. Unfortunately I have to give this place my first one star review. The food is ok, good gyros and decent pizza. The real problem here is horrid service. I have never seen such an absolute train wreck. The food was late every time. One time I waited an hour past the time it was supposed to be ready, and there were a dozen of us waiting. The staff is just plain rude. The young lady who works the counter has no business working with the public. Either there is no management, or nobody owns up to being the manager. I asked for a manager two out of three times I was there and was told there is no manager, at 6pm mind you. It's a shame people have waited so long for this place to open, and now are terribly disappointed. If management doesn't step it up this place will be out of business soon. I...
Read moreOrdered a steak protein bowl and our waitress asked if I wanted potato wedges or rice. When receiving the bowl, I took one bite of it and was not a fan. When telling the manager, she became highly offended when I told her it tasted off and she said it's probably because it's cauliflower rice. Nothing on the menu stated it was cauliflower so I asked for it to be replaced with just a regular gyro. When receiving the bill, I was still charged for the bowl. When asking Tami, the manager, about this she told me that "I ordered the food and they used product to make it and she's not going to take it off just because I didn't like it." And then proceeded to tell me since I took one bite that I needed to still pay for it. I feel this was highly unprofessional due to the fact the menu nor her said it was cauliflower. Awful attitude and service from...
