Hands down, the best Chinese food within a 30 mile + radius...
I have been coming here since I was a kid, and the food has always stayed the same and in light of recent events that have took place in early 2020, forcing the store to close for a couple months, I'm not sure if I just missed their food that much or or if It got better, despite the SAME family owning it, cooking the food and running the place for the last 20-25+ years!
Things I personally order
General Tso's chicken combo with rice and eggroll
One thing that sets this place apart from other chinese carry outs food wise, is that in their entree combos, by default they serve their delicious pork fried rice, rather than bland white rice like some competitors do..
Quart sized beef and broccoli and/or chicken and broccoli. (Automatically comes with about a half of a pint of white rice).
Their Steamed Dumplings are AMAZING! Definitely the best I've EVER had from a Chinese restaurant and the mark I compare all others to!..
Now here's the important 'secret menu item' that you have to remember... Ask for 2x(or however many your heart desires) "dumpling sauce"... They cost either .25 or .50 per sauce and I believe they only established a price on them after I used to go in and ask for 6+ sauce cups so everyone in my family of 5 could enjoy it. 🙂
It is a homemade sauce, it is very similar to soy sauce in color, texture (although not as runny), and appropriate uses, but taste wise it is a thousand times better, I've yet to find someone to try it who didn't agree. I use it on my rice, my chicken, I dip my egg rolls in them, and of course the above mentioned dumplings, hahaha...
5/5*, nothing but love...
Read moreFirst, I would like it known that I have never once left a bad review for anything in my life, nor do I complain to employees or ask to see their manager. I am 26 and compulsively polite, so to write this review should be telling.
I called in an order and was hung up on before they told me how long the wait would be. I showed up after 10 minutes to pick it up, and the general tso's chicken was lukewarm and tasted fishy. Looked up why it tasted like that and found out that its caused by not cleaning their oil and utensils after preparing and cooking fish. Absolutely livid that they have such little care for basic food safety. Cross contamination is literally food safety 101. Ended up throwing away $22 worth of food after a few bites because it made us feel physically sick to our stomachs. I put up with the subpar service and overlooked the disgustingly dirty inside for years, but I will not be going back after this. The absolute LEAST that can be done in a restaurant is to put in the tiniest bit of effort not to give your customers food poisoning....
Read moreAfter spending 20 minutes deciding what I wanted online, i called. Apparently their isn't online and someone else randomly posted their menu and prices as I was told for this restaurant. I always write my order on paper and add it up to have the money ready prior. After receiving the food and paying for it, the order was about $12 higher than what was acknowledged. The store employee never told me that. That is major increase, and I regret to hand my money over, because I asked twice for the employee to repeat what he said & he refused to even look at me while talking to me as he mumbled again.
