This is one of the most expensive sushi places for regular sushi. Although the roll I got was huge and at a good price and was filled with so much salmon. (I have a salmon addiction) it was very tasty. I also ordered their poke but requested salmon in place of tuna and they accepted my request. The poke was more on the salty side and had a lot of soy sauce. I'm not a big fan of salty things and I usually like my poke to have a light shoyu marinade. But that's just my preference, someone might like how salty it is with lots of soy sauce. Everything I usually would order had less pieces for a bigger price. I wasn't too sure if the pieces were thick or not because I've had that happen before and thought this wasn't worth the risk. The staff was too friendly. The interior theme was very nice and matching. It was cute and seemed very oriental and natural. I missed out on their poke lunch deal but I'm sure that deal is better than what was on the rest of the menu. Everything was a lot more than places I usually go to. And I could use that money to make it on my own for a lot more portion. However, I think it's more of the craftsmanship in the food that has...

What makes this place enjoyable is the owners!! They take such care to make sure you have a good experience! It's like the old-time restaruants with Maitre-Ds,.

Bonus - 'bottomless' hot green tea - no charge

I always sit near the kitchen so I can watch the food being made! I love that i can see the process.

--Teriyaki Chicken over rice. It has fresh, thin-cut carrots and celery, broccoli, onions and a tasty teriyaki sauce, -that I always get an extra portion of !!!

....Along with my T.C. I get two pcs of Creamy Scallop sushi. It's like bubbles of Scallop pieces in a slightly spicy sauce, very good!!

I stay for about an hour. and soak in the soothing soft music and calm,-- getting spoiled by the owners-- is such a healing experience. Their food brings good health. The staff--good luck and comfort. It's my break from everything, and a return to better habits. (for awhile). ... come back...

The sushi is what I would have expected had I walked into a strip mall in Cleveland OH. Passable. Better than Safeway, not as good as Sushitown. Disappointed in portions - 4 pc rolls you pay 9 dollars for should be much better than this. Either that or more plentiful.

The teriyaki chicken was dry but portions were ok. My 3 yr old wouldn't eat it and she eats everything. Wait... she did eat the rice. So kudos rice time on making rice a 3 yr old can stomach. Although we did have to drown it in teriyaki sauce. Of course that's also how she likes her pancakes... except with syrup.

My suggestion - skip this place. not worth the time or investment in something the best I can say about is that it probably won't make you sick. But I suppose if you're drunk it would...

Me and my bf ended up really loving the place!! The food tasted so fresh(Considering most places we get sushi taste dry or stale) and the environment itself was really refreshing. I also appreciated the fact that they offered forks since I’m use to having to struggle with just having to use chopsticks. Only thing I marked the place down for was availability. U really have to schedule eating there into your day since they open and close in weird hours. I’ve tried going three times before today and missed the mark all three times( I also didn’t realize they closed on mondays) so it was a little disappointing but understandable either way. Overall, I enjoyed being there, the staff kept checking up on us and was really friendly, and the food is some of the best food I’ve had👏🏻✨

I was surprised to find a pretty solid Asian restaurant in the Salem area. This one is a bit Americanized rather than truly authentic, but still offers a lot of enjoyable Japanese options, and I'd recommend their tempura udon. Prices are pretty good for what you get. The service is friendly, willing to answer questions and make changes to dishes if so asked. A lot of it is self-service, however, with patrons being required to get their own utensils and certain drinks, though it does maintain clean.

The atmosphere is welcoming & cozy making you want to sit down & enjoy a good meal. Speaking of meals ours was delicious! From our pot sticker appetizers to the mango dessert, it was all wonderful. Our hostess recommended some amazing sushi rolls & they didn't disappoint. Great friendly service! Made our anniversary celebration just that much better. We can't wait to come back again to try some more rolls.
