Jay Gee's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Salem

It just took 15 minutes for 2 milkshakes to be made. It took so long because the young man making the shakes was on his phone the whole time. The lady, who I’m assuming is his manager, saw him and didn’t care. She then asked him what he was making and proceeded to make herself a huge milkshake and drink it while he was still standing there on his phone then, when we were finally served the shakes, they were over blended and tasted awful (way too sweet, I have no idea what he put in them but they were all syrupy and tasted like pure sugar). We are from out of town and we’re excited to try a local ice cream place, but ended up being super disappointed. If I’m going to pay $10 for milkshakes, they could at least be good. Everyone who came in during the time we were sitting in the shop waited at least 15-20 minutes for their food. The pair on staff were complete duds and I suggest this place scraps the current evening staff and start over. I didn’t pay to wait for awful milkshakes because some kid needed to be on Instagram. I went today saturday 10 /26 at around 3pm to get icecream with my family. When I sat down before taking a bite my cone broke in half so went to go get back in line to grab another cone . As I notice an employee whos been chatting up this guy for over 10 minutes now(who's not getting anything) at the counter as her coworker alicia served everyone who came to the window. Even as customers started to line up behind him both him and the employee continued to talk until eventually all the customers moved over to alicia. Finally he left the line and she served someone only for him to have a seat so he could probably go back up to talk to her . I just thought as a customer it was rude to the customers waiting in line . Not to mention she was not being fair to her coworker or her employer who she is on the clock with. I like their ice cream, sometimes if I make a delivery order some things are forgotten, it's understandable. The reason for the 3 stars is because I have ordered online at least 8 times in the past months , normally if someone makes a delivery order they are usually somewhere that they would need a spoon to eat it with!!?? I don't understand why every single time I never get a spoon? It's pretty much common sense, people that order at the window get a spoon to eat with , I m assuming??!! This is not the only place that never sends utensils , even bigger restaurants with food being ordered, they never send utensils!! It's the most frustrating thing especially with ice cream delivery , it's already a little softer when you get it , but then it melts even more trying to find something to eat...
