Kingdom City Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Salem

When in the first time everything was excellent, very nice guy serving me very good coffee within the second time got the same thing with a different person and drove around the corner. My whole drink mind you the large extra sweet white chocolate expresso drink all over the floorboard of my car and all over that seat and so you know, obviously I came back and I and I asked how much would it cost for her to make me know the one I thought I'd get a deal or anything and she said no, you're gonna have to buy another 1, so I bought another 1. In tears You know, and then she just said, I don't have the authority to give you a free drink and so, you know, I just don't understand the way people are anymore. It just seems like ever since the pandemic people are just a 100% more rude, there's no service to people with a smile at all. Almost everywhere you go and it's all about the almighty dollar. And it's just really sad that made me cry more than my drink all...

Dropped into get a house house coffee. They only had Americano's as they hadn't yet made the house coffee. I don't particularly like Americano's though I accepted that option. I was tired and soaking wet from walking across town after dropping off my car at the dealership. Now I get it that area of downtown has a particularly large homeless population but even after explaining my situation this person just continued not smiling in fact sneering at me the entire time and frankly was clearly contemptuous. He asked me if my dog was a service dog and I said no and I was waiting for Reboot next door to open though it would have been nice to sit down for a few minutes as I was wet and tired from the walk and am 70 years old... I'm proud to say I said finally; You know what keep your f'ing coffee and left with my self...

I had been wanting to try this little coffee shop out for awhile and finally got to, it definitely did not disappoint. 😀 I ordered a breve latte and their yummy, moist banana bread, both were amazing! The gentleman behind the counter, Devin, was cheerful, informative with all the customers and had excellent customer service skills. The atmosphere was clean, peaceful and relaxing with gentle music playing softly in the background. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bookshelf with a few boxes of family friendly table games. Oh and they roast their own coffee beans, if you buy a bag you get a free 16 Oz. latte! Definitely a must try, you will love this local family owned...
