I have been coming here 2-3 times a week for the last 3 years. I spend quite a bit of money here. Due to our recent experience, I will never be returning and I will tell all my co-workers and friends to never frequent this establishment again. First off, we had to get our own menus and practically beg the bartender to serve us. He tried to serve the people next to us that came in after us first. To add insult to injury, once we finally got our food after waiting for an entire hour (for a bowser BLT and tacos) the food was horrible. We eat here regularly so we know what the standard is. The bacon was overly cooked and awful to the point I didn't want to eat it, the fries were all the ends of fries so they were crispy burnt tiny fries. The tacos that my boyfriend had were horrible. We literally get tacos here at LEAST once a week if not more. There was barely any meat on them, the meat that was on them was over cooked, and there was more lettuce than anything else on them. We were starving by now so we are the majority of it anyway and didn't even ask for it to be re made or even for a discount. We only asked that they let the cook know that it wasn't good and we would like an apology, to which the bartender was not receptive at all. He actually told us that he wasn't going to apologize if we were that upset. Mind you, we were being very calm and forgiving about the whole situation. All we got was an excuse of , "well, we're busy." Which isn't a valid excuse. I expect the food to be good no matter how busy you are or are not. We wrote a tip of $0 and made a note that said "we tip well when the service doesn't suck.", at the bottom of our receipt. The bartender followed us outside to our car and told us to never come back again. So now, we will definitely never be back again. Disappointing, because this was one of our favorite spots to frequent up until this evening. The last thing I have to say is that we witnessed Alexis drop a rag on the floor, pick it up, and resume cleaning a table with the dirty rag she had just dropped on the floor. Working the front tonight was William, Chris, Alexis, and Hoss was in the kitchen. Sad to say goodbye but that's a pretty horrible way to be treated when you literally spend $70+ dollars a week (not including tips) to an establishment that clearly doesn't appreciate your business. If I could rate...
Read morealthough I knew that the Coin Jam had already reopened for business, i had yet to get out and stop in to see what's what. It had been quite a while since I had last visited and unsure of what to expect. WELL, let me tell you what happened. . . . from the first moment I walked through their doors, i heard the sounds of the large selection of classic video games sounding off and my personal favorite, the bells and whistles of the pinball machines welcoming me back. the friendly staff greeted me before I even took 3 steps, asked how they could be of service and well, you know the rest. $ 30.00 dollars in quarters later jammed into the machines, one ice cold beverage and a pretty good pulled pork sandwich with fries was more than enough to satisfy my appetite across the spectrum, at least temporarily, leaving me to wonder on my way out with 12 replays out of 35 pinball games, how come i hadn't returned sooner. Anywho, thank you again Coin Jam and staff for an early evening well spent and very appreciative that you survived the pandemic and i am sure have made a lot of people like me, very happy to have you back and open for us to enjoy over and over again. i shall return. and by the way, i don't do autographs, period. see you next time. he, he, he, i said...
Read moreUpdate: This place used to have great service, I've given it 5 stars in the past but things have changed. The music is super loud like it's hard to even have any kind of conversation on a Friday night even putting in loop ear buds didn't help much. This time we were completely ignored when we sat at a table so after a glancing at the menus online for a while I just went up to the bar to order and was again completely ignored by the 2 male staff 1 who was doing dishes right in front of me.. fair enough dishes have to get done but check your bar for guests, and one of who completely ignored me and went and served 3 dudes that came up to the side bar after me. I didn't know I had my cloak of invisibility on! Shame on me! Then after multiple attempts of catching someone's eye and ready to just leave a female bartender finally noticed me and got my order going. She asked a server if she wanted a table and then informed her that I had already closed out my tab in front of me which I thought was kind of weird. Our server was great, thankfully, and made sure we had everything we needed. The black bean tacos were extremely oversalted but the artichoke dip was delicious. Disappointing return to what used to be a favorite date...
