I truly feel sorry for how BAD this place is. This place makes elementary cafeteria food sound good. We thought we would give this place a try (after all they had good review of their pho). So we ordered their egg rolls and chicken skewers to start, ohhhhhhhhh was that not hopeful at all, they tasted as cardboard that had been microwaved and even the sauce tasted the same. Now we thought this has to be a fluke, but to our sad disappointment our entree’s arrived ( sesame chicken and pork noodle dish) and one bite was all we needed to confirm that we were in a bad bad BAD awful way. I honestly felt sorry for how disgusting the food was. It is like we were trying to be polite at a friends house that serves the most inedible food, as you attempt to swallow each miserable bite. We took about 3 bites and couldn’t do anymore, just wanted to escape the memory of this place. Needless to say we left starving and came home to finish off out kids leftover frozen pizza (that actually tasted good...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I love this restaurant. He took me to it for his birthday once and now any time we're in Salam we eat here. It makes us feel better when we're sick, or sad, or after Christmas shopping. We drive all the way from McMinnville to have it. The service is different it's not someone constantly on you because it's a family restaurant and there's normally only one person there when we go. He's always very friendly and talks with us when he has the chance but mostly he works between cooking cause he's running the business. He's always very humble when we say we only eat pho here saying there's tons of others in other places we should try. We get the beef pho and egg rolls everytime, we make it spicy ourselves with the chili sauce and other sauces at the table. The portions are always perfect and we never really take anything home. The parking is good but it's a small parking lot so we've had to park across the street at the family...
Read moreWent here with a friend who highly recommended their Vietnamese Noodle Soups. He ordered a Spicy noodle soup, and I got a General Tso's Chicken just to have something else at the table. The service was abysmal, the two (Owners?) working did not check on us after seating and once the food was brought, again ignored us. The waiter (Chef?) did not attempt to make my food Spicy as I had requested. The images in the menu appeared to show Family Style portions, but my chicken dish was just a few pieces of breaded fried meat, tossed with what appeared to be a store bought orange chicken sauce... Super unimpressed. My friends dish however was surprisingly solid, with a well developed flavorful broth, all the appropriate vegetables on the side, and a decent portion. Our plates were the same price, but I was super jealous I had not ordered what he recommended. Probably won't go back just for that...
