Minzu Sushi — Restaurant in Salem

The food is good, but I'm kind of done ordering from them. Ordered food at 7:25pm. They said it'd be delivered at 8:35pm. 70 minutes is a long time to wait, but whatever. 8:45 rolls around and the food has not arrived. Call the store and they say the delivery driver is just getting back from a run and my food will be there within 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, no food. Call the store again. They say the driver is out and food will be there in 5 minutes. The food arrived almost 15 minutes after that. All said and done, it took just under 2 hours to get a relatively small order delivered on a Tuesday night. This is far from the first time I've had an experience like this with Minzu. Maybe I got a different chef or something (considering all the great reviews here and elsewhere), but Minzu served me some of the worst and blandest sushi I've ever had. The rice was completely plain, there was no wasabi on my nigiri (not a deal breaker), and the fish was either so dry or so chewy that I had trouble finishing it. It is affordable, the miso soup was good, and they are very, very friendly.
