I have been ordering pizza in my town since I was in elementary school and probably average 2 or so orders a week … I am now 35 and I am sure with a multi-million dollar salary per year that Rob Lynch (CEO of Papa John’s) doesn’t really care how many pizzas Papa John’s delivers incorrectly, however, the average customer I am sure does .. I just ordered a pizza through the Papa John’s website which I received incorrect (had mushrooms instead of pepperoni) – I proceeded to call my local Papa John’s in Salem VA at 221 W 4th Street when someone answered the phone and advised me that there was nothing they could do for me … I was then advised that ‘DoorDash’ delivered my pizza, that I would have to connect them to get a new pizza …. I responded that I didn’t order through DoorDash but through Papa John’s and that I did not have a DoorDash account … apparently that did not matter, at this point I was very frustrated and advised I wanted a refund on the whole order (only pizza – which was wrong and an order of cheese sticks) …. The person I was speaking with then hung up on me, prompting me to call back and ask for a manager … I supposedly got the GM on the phone who was very polite and pleasant – said they would remake the pizza but I would have to come pick it up .. (I ordered delivery for a reason) – the GM was very apologetic and advised they did not have any day time drivers so DoorDash steps in and they (Papa John’s) only have evening drivers and how it saves them money ….. however, when I am paying $30 for a pizza and cheese sticks, I am unconcerned with and certainly should not be inconvenienced by the company wanting to ‘save money’ … Shame on me, I guess I should be concerned with making sure Rob makes $8 million next year instead of $7 million …. This is extremely unfair to the customers who made this company what they are and the ones who depend on correct deliveries when ordering … Not to mention the refund will not be available for a couple of days … so many people right now are budgeting literally every dollar they have and may not be able to substitute for this error. I am beside myself right now and unlike many other scenarios – this one WILL prevent me from placing future orders with Papa John’s. Maybe Rob should take a pay cut and hire some more drivers .. if not then he/Papa John’s should at least offer their pizza for a reasonable somewhat affordable price considering the problems that may be encountered upon delivery....
Read moreThis used to be a great pizza place, but oh have things changed! They are absolutely the worst in town hands down! First of all I was overcharged for my pizza so I went back in and brought it to the managers attention. After fumbling around for it least 5 minutes I simply asked her to put my refund back on my card and I would go elsewhere. She finally accomplished that ( I guess, waiting to call my card company and see). Then she rang me up again. I again told her to just issue my credit and I would go somewhere that cared for my business! She kept looking at her phone trying to figure who knows what. At this time she said the pizza just came out. I asked her for a customary discount due to the ridiculous situation. Once she got done fumbling with her phone, she abruptly turned around, ran to the pizza shelf, and grabbed my order slamming it down on the counter saying "you dont owe anything I took care of your entire bill." At this point I told her that I didn't want anything for free and offered to pay the new balance. She VERY RUDELY AND LOUDLY stated again "I took care of it." At this point I had enough and asked her for the district manager's number which she refused to give me! She said she did not have it and that they stop by when they want (I swear she said that)! I again offered to pay, but she was not even listening. She snapped something it me and I had enough. I told her to apologize and she very rudely and loudly barked I APOLOGIZE! UPON HER SAYING THAT I TOLD HER SHE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE AND THAT I WOULD NEVER GIVE THEM ANOTHER DIME OF BUSINESS!!!! Oh did I mention upon entering the store the manager said that you come in here all the time and I said yep. But not anymore. Do yourself a favor and go 1 block down and order Dominos pizza. Sure wish I would...
Read moreI went in to pick up a door dash order. I was there for 10 min before being acknowledged. Then I was told it was in the oven and would be right out. This was at 6:57. Pickup time was 6:59. I waited another 10 min. I saw the order come out of the oven so I went and ask the manager to check to see if the order was ready and she said no it’s in the oven. I told her I saw it come out of the oven. She said it takes 8 mins to cook. I told her that’s what she told me 15 min ago. She would not check on the order for me. I waited about 5 more min when a young guy ask me what I was waiting on and I told him. With an attitude he went and got the order that had been sitting there since I told her I saw it come out of the oven. When I told him it was cold. He shrugged his shoulders and when I left I heard them talking about me. This is a job for my daughter who I was helping out and it gives her bad ratings. I called back to speak with the regional manager and the manager would not give me a number to call. I got his name and called another location and still have not heard from anyone. I did inform the customer what happened. No customer service. I will never recommend this place to anyone. This was at the...
