Taqueria Don Julio — Restaurant in Salem

My daughter and I stumbled across this hidden gem this past Saturday and were more than pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and authentic. The owner, Julio, was very welcoming and made you feel at home. He was proud of his food and it shows. He was very knowledge about the menu and educated us in the ingredients and what was offered. He made sure we were happy and took time to allow us to try different homemade sauces. As we were about to leave, I put an order in for some homemade corn tortillas. They were made fresh to order and were delicious. Flavorful food, super clean dining room and amazing hospitality! Tacos El Pastor was a highlight for us! I will be back soon! Maybe even later...
