Two days ago I stopped by the south salem location following a run. Iād had 15 minutes before I needed to start my work shift and there werenāt any cars. I came up to the window and waited two minutes before the baristas even noticed I was there, and once one of them came and opened the window they apologized. Following this they just stood there, staring blankly at the wall so I assumed it meant they wanted me to tell them my order, so I told them I wanted an iced 20oz white chocolate mocha with soy milk. As they began working on my drink they made it with 2%, but they were further away so I didnāt say anything yet to ask for this to be fixed. A car rolled up and two other baristas came from the back to help the car on the other side, and another employee came in from the back and began to talk to the employee that had been making my drink. Once this employee came from the back the employee making my drink stopped working on my drink and began to talk to this other employee. After two minutes of them not making any effort to complete my order, provide any customer service whatsoever or even wash their hands prior to beginning on the order I decided if they didnāt have any respect for me or my order or time there was no reason I should give some to them. Working with Dutch bros for over two years, I understand the desire to want to talk to coworkers and catch up, but the experience as a whole was something Iāve never seen any coffee shop ever do. Would not wish this on anyone and honestly will not be returning to this location any time soon. From the lack of cleanliness, to the awkward customer service when taking the order, to the messed up drink and lack of respect for their customersā time as a whole I was extremely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo the office I work at tend to order coffee A LOT and we try to make it easy on both the person picking it up and the coffee shops. We used to order at Starbucks all the time, but after awhile the employees became rude and we noticed drinks would get messed up. I mean we're ordering for 15+ people and to have at least 10 incorrect drinks every time.. One of the Starbucks we ordered at even told the person picking up our drinks that we're no longer welcome there so we switched to Dutch Brothers. They have been nothing but amazing! We're ordering there almost 5 days a week that's how great the service is and they're so quick getting all the drinks set and ready to go.
Anyway, our office wanted to try something new that wasn't Starbucks or Dutch so we decided to try The Human Bean. Before getting the orders ready I tried calling them just to let them know a heavy list of orders will be coming their way the following day and if there was anything we could do to make their job easier let us know so we could help. Unfortunately, when I called an employee named Stacy answered and when she heard me ask for a fax number (because who knows, maybe they might have one) she hung up. I called again and was immediately hung up on. I called again 3-4 times and every time the phone would either ring until it gave out or I would get hung up on again.
Even though the coffee is satisfying here, the service has so far been not one I would recommend. Service wise I would rate them a two because I find it highly disrespectful getting hung up on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve only had really good experiences with the staff and coffee at this location. I used to bartend in grad school, so hate complaining about a drink. Even so, theyāre always really good about asking if itās the right amount of creamer, etc and offer to remake things when something isnāt put in or isnāt omitted.
The last time I was there, they forgot the cinnamon in my drink and I didnāt bother to tell them because itās not that big of a deal (I hate complaining and wasting/asking for something to be remade), but I know it would have been added if I said something about it missing. Theyāre really good about that.
I always experience really kind baristas at this location who care about getting the order right and NOT shuffling through customer orders haphazardly⦠unlike another popular local drive thru coffee chain up the street that need not be named. I donāt need free stickers, I just want good coffee. The Coffee Bean is focused on actual coffee orders and I appreciate that.
Thereās better coffee at this place and the service is exponentially...
