I am sad and disappointed to leave this review of 2 stars because none of the saturday staff acknowledged my sister, daughter and I. It was our first visit and probably last. The tea is amazing. The atmosphere/decor is so nice and yetā¦for a tea house in which we had never been, is there an excuse for not welcoming people, giving them direction and continuing to ignore when they sit at your counter top bar to have family tea. we ended up ordering our drinks online from our phones at the bar. We did not know āthe wayā is to use a tablet by the door to order. There were people standing there at the doorway when we got there but again, 1st timers thst didnāt know the operation of the tea house but also didnāt expect to be treated like we weren't welcome. Lesson learned for us, this isnāt a place for customer service or sitting in and having a drink with out of town relatives. although other reviews would say otherwise which is very confusing. Seeing regulars come in and spoken to made it worse. We did not say anything about it though while there to not ruin my daughters 11th birthday tea outing with her mom and aunt. Please do better to new visitors even on a busy saturday. We donāt all know what youāve got going on with your tea house the first time. Thanks. The matcha lavender latte...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didn't know this place was a block from my house. I found that out yesterday! ( Been open for 4 months I honestly must be blind) This place is a gem!!! Tea supplies, tea cakes, expensive beautiful tea cakes I've only ever seen online, teas and health herbs, boba tea and I think the boba is all homemade it's the best tapioca boba just tender and fresh, tea pots, and pretty much everything you need to make tea at home or enjoy there. They have tea ceremonies for 2 (I'm sure once covid restrictions are lifted it will be held for more.) An absolutely beautiful and Chinese rich cultural area! I hope this places stays open forever because the fact it's next door to me brings me joy! Here are some of the teas and herbs I purchased. The teas made there with boba have cute little anime faces to seal the cups! They also gave me a freebie of a calming blend. Please help support this place! You won't be disappointed!! Hopefully I can go multiple times a week! It's my new fav local place that's for sure!!!! I hope they get some tea pets for my tea set in the future! Edit: I thought they made their own boba, but turns out they just buy higher quality than I've ever had before! Which to me is just as cool! Also I'll be picking up a 12$ tea cake...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is far and away my favorite small business⦠no, favorite business of ANY kind in Salem. The first time I came it was magical and every visit since has been also. Iāve been about 10 times total and now I make sure to come at least once a week or more. Theyāre kind and helpful and so lovely. Every single thing weāve tried on the menu is brilliant. The atmosphere is calm, well decorated, clean, and authentic. I love the little fidget toys and lovely books to look at while we wait (but they are fast!). The quality of the tea, boba, and beverages in general is absolutely stunning. I might be something of a tea snob too tbhš Given our other boba choices in Salem, well, letās just say this one is superior (to my fam and I) in a big way. This is coming from someone who spends a lot of time in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene also, so Iāve had my fair share of teas and boba. I will do everything in my power to help this family stay in business for the long-haul. I am an absolute fan for life now. All I can say is everything about the shop is perfect and fills me with joy. I hope they will make shirts, beanie, &/or hats so that I can wear them and tell people about this brilliant little tea shop...
