Abelardo's Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Salina

My favorite place for tacos. Though the consistency is getting ridiculous. 1st my husband would ask for a little extra cook time ⅔time doesn't get done, same thing when trying something else. I'm not so picky as long as everything is there as it's said to be. So ⅓times it's missing guacamole.

The asada fries are a whole different issue! 1st full order great perfect, 2nd full order was less cause it was put into a divided container, 3rd better but still less than the 1st. Now this last time pissed both me and my husband off. We ordered a full size of asada fries, what we got was maybe the size of a half order, honestly looked like less and the fries were under cooked.

I will give this place 1 more chance for properly made food because the tasted is delicious. But I will not continue to be...

Decided to try this new Mexican restaurant that moved into the old Popeyes location on Ohio. Great fast Mexican food that was fresh and made to order. Very comparable to ponchos restaurant that is now on the south end of town. It's nice that we have a alternative to you commercial stuff like Taco Bell and Taco John's here in town. Had the chorizo con huevo and carne asada tostadas. Both were very good. Service was very good and friendly! Sit down restaurant quality! I will be coming back here! So they also had a similar location in St Joseph Missouri. If you want Mexican food and don't want to sit down restaurant. Or drive to Pancho's on the south end of town or want something different than the standard Taco Bell Taco John's Fair I would very much...

As someone who's had some pretty amazing food in my travels, I can confidently say that Abelardo's in middle Kansas is seriously underrated. A 3.8 rating? Come on — that’s like giving tacos a C+ on a test they clearly aced.

The carne asada? Perfectly seasoned and so tender it practically melts. The portions? Huge — you’ll leave feeling like you just won the food lottery. And the salsa bar? It’s a choose-your-own-adventure of flavor, and I highly recommend exploring it.
