Bagel Corner — Restaurant in Salinas

So I really love this place me and my husband go here at least a couple times a week but lately there’s been some issues that I’m hoping someone will read and try to fix… There’s no consistency to my order anymore, one of my favorite sandwiches is the California Delight and lately it’s never the same. Sometimes they put cream cheese on both sides and sometimes they put so much cream cheese on one side when you take a bite it all gets squeezed out along with the veggies, sometimes they put normal Cucumber slices and sometimes they’re so thick that’s all you can taste and it makes it hard to bite through, I always ask for lite onion because a whole slice of red onion is way too powerful and sometimes they do it and sometimes they don’t, sometimes I get the flavor bagel I asked for and sometimes I get some other flavor. I’ve tried to fix this by being very clear about my order and how I want it ( which really is the way it always used to be) but either the person taking The order is not relaying my order correctly or the person making the order is not making it correctly so im coming here hoping that someone who cares will read this and try to fix things because i really do love this place and i want to change my...

Friendly staff nice little pickup window for online orders. Breakfast Burritos are good, bagels are good thicker than most other places. I had a triple berry bagel toasted with cream cheese, Im deducting 2 stars for it having a mixture of flavors due to same knife being used on hearty savory flavors and sweet flavors! I don’t know why shops do this? And eating a nice sweet bagel who wants to taste onion or everything bagel on there sweet bagel? Isn’t the first place I’ve experienced this so I know other bagel shops do it as well but I don’t think that it’s very hard to have separate knives or cutting station/area to separate the two It really affects the flavor of what you’re eating. Also the minute you open up the wrapper you can smell pungent odor of onion. This is a minimal change that can make a huge difference. My family have been coming here for years until we moved out of town. That being said we come here when we do come to town and we are very disappointed the last few times. Figured it happens every now and then, but this has been consistent and now comes my review as I just can’t hold back my frustration. I can’t see how they stay busy when you pay over $5.00 for a bagel with a teaspoon of cream cheese and little product. Let’s not be so chintzy on what makes the bagels delish.
