Excellent service and decent food. I was surprised the Lengua wasn't very seasoned and the Carne Asada was a little dry but they still were well presented and tasted good enough. I also had a cheese quesadilla. The only complaint I had with it is the cheese wasn't entirely melted inside. I loved the chips and salsa, although the salsa was the strangest I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant anywhere in the world. It was closer to an Italian tomato sauce with some red pepper to give it a kick. I liked it but it was very unexpected. The service was excellent and the waitress was always very attentive and helpful. The prices seem high for what it is, but it seems to be a tourist rendition. For more authentic Mexican food, you might consider walking a half block...

Los Altos Restaurant provided an outstanding dining experience! I ordered the Fajitas Mixta with chicken, steak, and shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sizzling presentation made the meal even more enjoyable. The portions were generous, and the sides complemented the dish perfectly. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I had everything I needed. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and had a great atmosphere. I highly recommend Los Altos for anyone looking for amazing food and...

This is a little hole in the wall but surprisingly very good, the tile fin light haired waitress where is not very good even though she was nice not too attentive. The other waitress who is not our waitress came over and kept checking on everybody very nice very attentive made up for any shortage of waitressing on our part. The shrimp fajitas were very good what was amazing was how many shrimp was on the platter, we were very surprised on the generous portions of food at a very good price. This location is not the best for us but if we were in the area we would certainly...

Last year, in Salinas, we fell in love with a soup called “siete mares”. We didn’t plan on it, but rather than settling with the fast food joints that surrounded our hotel, we decided to try our luck on a Mexican joint that was within walking distance. The restaurant was called Los Altos and their rendition of “siete mares” soup blew our minds. “Where has this been all our lives?” I wondered aloud as we feasted on shrimp, white fish, snow crab legs, mussels, oysters, octopus, and abalone simmered in a light tomato-based broth. I’ve had cioppino in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. I’ve had a dozen different bowls of bouillabaisse at fine French restaurants. None were as good as the caldo siete mares I ate at this taqueria in Salinas. Everything about it made sense, not the least of which is the chance to eat seven kinds of seafood in one sitting without spending a fortune. After coming back from that trip, we were on a mission to taste as many siete mares in our home turf of Orange County as we could. Some were too tomatoey; some smelled fishy; some didn’t have seven types of seafood, which amounted to false advertisement. I was resigned that a worthy bowl of siete mares was becoming my white whale…that is, until last night. In the caldo siete mares at Ostioneria Bahia in Orange, I’ve found Los Altos’ equal. It had everything all the others were missing. All seven kinds of seafood were accounted for. There was no fishiness. And in the broth, its lifeblood, I again tasted the balanced seafood and tomato nectar that spurred my quest last year. It tasted like…victory. #foodgasm #foodporn #instafood #foodphotography #foodblogger #7mares #ostioneria #oysters #seafood #sietemares #edwingoei #mexicanfood #orange #ceviche
