Blue Ocean Event Center — Restaurant in Salisbury

I got married in the Blue Ocean Music Hall on 07-20-2024. My experience at the Blue Ocean Event Center was phenomenal! My husband and I cannot stop talking about the amazing team who made our day everything we wanted it to be and more. My event coordinators Bonnie & Lisa went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. They set up all of my decor (I brought a lot with me). I made a binder of what I had and how I wanted everything to look. They followed it to a T and it went beyond the what I could have imagined.

As the bride, I was frequently checked in with. I enjoyed having Bonnie nearby as I waited for my dad to come next to me. They did a fantastic job ensuring I did not accidentally bump into the groom before my walk down the aisle.

After the ceremony and photos. Bonnie & Lisa helped bustle my wedding dress (it was not an easy dress to bustle since my train was so long). Lisa & Bonnie reassured me that they were there to help. At one point, someone called Lisa over the walkie asking for her. She said, "I'm helping my bride right now I am going to be a minute." It meant the world to me that she stayed and helped me alongside Bonnie.

Eventually they were able to successfully bustle my dress alongside my maid of honor.

Our guests could not stop talking about how breathtakingly beautiful it was. The food was also delicious!!! We did filet minion and salmon.

As well as, a vegetarian option. Steaks are all cooked medium. However, some can be on the medium rare side. My advice to a future couple is to make sure this is told to your guests. I had some guests who wanted their steak well done. Which in a huge wedding it is only one temperature.

I had a guest who suffers with severe allergies. I was so impressed (and so was she). With the amount of care and compassion the kitchen staff showed to her. They talked to her prior to cooking her food and went over all of her allergies. They even were able to utilize a separate kitchen to ensure her food was safe to eat. My friend actually went to a wedding a day before mine. She said the blue ocean event center made her feel so comfortable & she was actually able to eat (unlike the other wedding she went to). They do a fantastic job with food allergies and take them seriously!

After the reception, the team at the blue ocean event center packaged up ALL of my decor and put it on a cart for my family to wheel out and put into their cars.

My wife and I tied the knot at Blue Ocean this past weekend, and it was incredible. It rained, and Lisa suggested we set up a second ceremony so we could still get married on the beach as we wanted, then rolled up her sleeves and made it happen. She communicated with my wife and I frequently throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. She ran and got us phone chargers when we needed some. She coordinated with our photographer on where we could get extra great shots. Lisa also made valuable recommendations for food and drinks, helped us tidy up, and did it all with a smile.

I’m sure there’s many other things that happened in the background that we weren’t even aware of, thanks to Lisa and the rest of the Blue Ocean staff.

The bartender was amazing, she made us a watermelon cosmo for our signature drink. It was delicious. No one was over served, and everyone had a great time.

The food from SeaGlass was unbelievable. We had the filet with au gratin potatoes and asparagus. I had a weird special request that my filet was cooked medium well. Somehow, the chef managed to cook my steak through while still keeping it juicy and delicious, and they didn’t butterfly it either.
