SurfSide — Restaurant in Salisbury

Let me preface this by saying, I ran a restaurant for years and fully understand that it is a dynamic environment and things are GOING to go wrong. My experience at Surfside was BY FAR the WORST I have had at any restaurant ever. Our apps were delivered without silverware or plates. When we asked the hostess for plates and silverware she delivered us silverware, still no plates. No biggie. It happens. When it came time to order dinner, the first plate that I ordered was apparently not available. So I ordered a $15 Tex-Mex bowl instead, only to be told that the bowl does not include any protein and that it would be $11 TO ADD CHICKEN. No thanks. So I settled on a cheese burger. The burger came out with no cheese on it at all and at this point I was so dis-satisfied with my entire experience that I was definitely not going to spend $16 on a cheeseburger without cheese, so for the first time in my life I asked for the manager and sent the burger back. When I explained to the manager that I was not satisfied with the experience she proceeded to roll her eyes at me. No apology. Just an eye roll and an “I’ll just take this back then.” I own 3 vacation rental properties on central ave and my guests will be informed that they need to avoid this place like the plague. I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant before. The manager Lynn has absolutely NO idea what it means to be nice to customers and that the customer is always right. I made a reservation a week in advance for a cabana and we showed up and she stated that we had never made a reservation for a cabana. She refused to give us one even though they had called earlier that day to confirm it. After multiple disagreements she finally gave us a cabana (which was a downgrade from what we were promised and we had to bend over to eat our food on a picnic table because they refused to give us a table for more than 5 people, even though there were 7 of us) and never apologized about the mistake she made. She rolled her eyes at us, blatantly ignored us, and disregarded us as people. I have never felt attacked racially by someone before but Lynn made me feel as though she was hateful towards me due to me being a Latina woman. She was nice to everyone around us who appeared to be white and racially segregated me and my friends. Our food and drinks were very good which is the only reason I give this place a 2. Do not come here if you support equality. This woman was pure evil, rude, and disrespectful. Our whole party was upset even though we had 2 parties in the group. She should be fired....

This restaurant does not care for its customers as they hire incapable wait staff that disrespect them and make them feel as they were bothered to eat at this expensive restaurant. I went to SurfSide restaurant (8-2022) as it looked like a great birthday location gift. Once seated i was greeted with the rudest waitress i ever had in my life. She was no help with menu items and served seltzer water that was supposed to be sprite. When i brought this issue up i was given a dirty look as if i bothered her for doing her job. I then ordered a salad but once it arrived it was not the same one i ordered. Our waitress with a attitude explained to me the salad i ordered had cheese which was not the case. She stated to me " So what do you want to do with it". I could not believe this and told her i don't want it and take it off my order. She rolled her eyes and left. When we finally got our food it was as generic as a corner store take out . I asked for my check which was over $150 and was handed a credit card machine to pay and sign. On the machine was my total and a section to chose a tip. As the waitress was hovering over me i was pressured to give a tip. I would stay away from this place and i will...
