Edit in response: I had people with me who can attest to your bartender and waitress laughing at me and sharing glances in regards to my license AND passport being fake. If the owner was not present that day then why was I told that "the owner is refusing me service"? Really not sure how my passport could have been deemed false. Your staff is highly immature, saying that you have other team member present to attest is completely false & way for you to save yourself in this situation. I offered to get the police involved myself, to which the bartender was condenceding implying I would be in trouble for using a fake ID. I was a thousand percent treated unfairly and I have people to attest to that as well. Your bartender and the one waitress were the only ones I had a negative experience with - the hostess was lovely. I'm sure the group present next to me at the bar could attest to them being condescending. It's not a good look to completely lie in a response back to a negative review. Hope you're team can learn how to treat situations like this properly for others as I will certainly not be back, especially after your false clarifications.
Went to get something to eat with my boyfriend and decided to order a glass of wine. Our original server had left since we asked for a second with the menu and shortly after a different server came over, which is when we ordered drinks. The new server asked if it was alright to take our IDs to the back and we of course said that was fine. While we were waiting to get our IDs back, our origional server came over and asked if we were ready to put in drinks, which I explained that someone else had taken our IDs. She said "oh I'm sorry" and walked away, which I thought was odd. Shortly after the other server came back with our IDs claiming that mine was fake and to provide a second form of photo ID. I don't know about anyone else but I don't carry around my passport with me, or what if I didn't have a passport (this was their specific request). I showed my card to confirm the name and even pulled out my student photo ID from college (which I had just graduated from and states the date of when I enrolled as a freshman on it, being 2021). I said that I would be more than happy to speak with the bartender. When I went up and showed my ID, she laughed in my face and said "I've seen about 150 of these today and yours looks nothing like them" referring to my license, I just turned 22 on June 1st. I told them I could call over a cop to verify or they are more than happy to, to which they said "before we get the cops involved look to see if you have a photo of your passport". I pulled up a picture I had that shows my hand holding both the main page and the page with the barcode and they both looked at each other, laughed, and said that that was fake as well?! Not sure how you can fake a passport. They then said that the owner is refusing to serve me regardless of my age, which I completely understand that that's their right to do so. However, I am appalled about the way the bartender, server, and owner, who didn't even come up to tell me myself, handled this situation. I showed two valid forms of ID and am 22 years old. They never asked to verify my address or any other information on the ID. The glances between the server and bartender and condescending attitude to me saying that I am underage is completely unnecessary and unprofessional. This business will never get my service and I've made it known to others how they handle their guests. I completely understand the right to refuse to serve me regardless of being of age but when I provided the identification that they asked for and was being treated so poorly in front of others, that is uncalled for. Immediately went elsewhere, no need to belittle customers who are above the age limit to drink just because you don't know how to check an...
Read moreI don't know if I should put 1 star for the interaction I had with the manager, or 5 stars for the service i received by the waitress Mallory. Here is our experience Yesterday July 4th after an awesome day at Salisbury Beach my husband and I decided to eat something before heading home. We came in, we were sitting outside, the waitress was really nice, friendly, attentive, we order some margaritas and another kind and friendly server brought some chips and salsa. Everything was great so far. We order our food my husband order a pork burrito and I order the birria tacos. My husband asked for extra meat on his burrito. When the food comes out we noticed that the burrito was full of rice and it didn't have much meat as he requested extra meat on his burrito. We thought they forgot so we simply ask the waiter, did they put the extra meat on the burrito? She said yes, i believe so, my husband show her the burrito and he says it doesn't look like it. She apologized and she said let me go check it out and see what happened. We didn't care at this point we were hungry we just let it be and we started eating our food. The waiter comes back and asked if the manager came over? We reply no and it's fine don't worry about it everything is fine we enjoying our food don't worry about it. My husband told her numerous times don't worry about it we are eating we enjoying our food not a big deal. We thought that was it but shortly after that the manager come to the table and stand there, didn't introduce herself or anything husband and I look at her like, whats going on, who are you. Lol we didn't know who she was or what was happening lol She looks at my husband and ask "everything ok?" We said yes, at this point we are eating drinking enjoying our time. She says "any problem with your food or something like that" my husband said oh no i just thought that i didn't get the extra meat i ordered. In a weird and rude way she then said I will go back in the kitchen and see what happened because if you are not happy I need to find out What happened. It was so awkward and so unnecessary the way she said that. We never said we wasn't happy. My husband again says to her no it's fine I'm okay don't worry about it. he said this numerous time, he repeated himself, nope he's fine I'm enjoying my food everything is fine don't worry about it. She left to the kitchen, at this point me and my husband are feeling awkward we just want to finish and leave already not because of the waitress but because the manager. some short time pass and she comes back with a small bowl with meat, she placed it on the table and while she doing so she tells my husband the order was made correctly but here's some extra meat and she just walks away. It was so rude it was so unnecessary we felt so awkward and so disrespected. It was so unprofessional. I will never go back to this place and its sad because we go to Salisbury Beach a lot. We have been going to Salisbury Beach for a long time and we have never had this type of treatment. Mallory you were great thank you for your...
Read moreThis place is literally right on Salisbury beach. Clean, modern, smallish restaurant. Has a nice size bar. Food seemed fresh and of good quality. They use basmati rice here instead of traditional rice. Which was cooked just right and was actually kinda different but great. Tacos, burritos and a few other traditional Mexican dishes. Some with a little modern menu twists thrown in. But not fusion crazy, which I'm not a fan of. Plenty of apps and sides but not a huge menu. It was super busy when we went in close to closing so we sat at the bar and ate. Ordered with bartender and waitress brought the food over. We had a chicken quesadilla app which was pretty delicious. We each got a burrito which includes rice, cheese, beans and whatever else you like. I had chicken tinga burrito and coke. My sister had pork & beef mixture with Corona beer. It was $65 for the meal. They were very delicious and a good size. We each only ate half and took it home. It was fabulous leftover too. A little over average prices, but not insane and it's right on the beach so slightly higher. Only problem was that the bartender, a pretty young girl, was so busy breaking the bar down for close and wanting to get out of there, she didn't pay any attention to us once we got our food. I could have used another drink. And I had to hold my card up and yell out I wanted to pay the bill, after visibly holding my card up and waiting a really long time. I still said it politely, but she seemed upset about it anyway. Not like I had a choice. You'd think she would want to get us out of there. I come from a family of waitresses, I'm extremely reasonable, forgiving and a great tipper. Then she just came back and slapped down the receipt on the bar with a QR code on it while walking away. I just wanted to pay normal. I waited a while longer again to give her my card and then I lost my patience. Which rarely happens, but we were kind of in a hurry to leave, they were getting ready to close, and she wouldn't even look in our direction. I wasn't gonna yell again. I had to walk over and ask a waitress by the register. Who then took it back to the bartender, who looked shocked.🙄 Honestly just the worst service I've had from someone in years. I still left 15%, but was mad I didn't leave less afterwards. It was really horrible service to an otherwise nice dinner out. Definitely recommend for a meal at the beach, just don't...
