So I went into this little coffee shop because my niece was dying for a latte after we had frozen our butts off watching the parade. So I was definitely up for going inside somewhere and having something hot. There were paintings on the wall by local artists, which I loved, because I'm an artist myself. After we ordered our drinks, we sat down at a little table. The place is quite small but very quaint. And the staff is super polite and friendly. I ordered a hot chocolate, and when I sat down and took a drink, I was seriously disappointed. It was by far the worst hot chocolate I had ever had. Tasted very watered down and not sweet at all. Not even a little. But it was only $3 and we were so cold that I was just happy it was hot. So I went over to the counter and grabbed a couple of sugars, and put it in my cup. When I went to stir, I noticed the stirring stick dragging on the bottom of the cup. It then dawned on me that there was something in it that hadn't been mixed up all the way. Once I mixed it up I took a drink, and I'm not sure if it was the two packets of sugar I added to it or if it was just that good on its own, but that horrible cup of hot chocolate was now the best cup of hot chocolate I had ever had, LOL. So in conclusion, I definitely liked what I ordered, I definitely liked the service, I definitely like the artsy atmosphere, and I definitely recommend the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām sorry but since when a Golden latte comes with coffee? A golden latte is a latte make with spices (like turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, pepper) and some kind of dairy/milk and maybe sweetener, mine had straight espresso inside, and probably just one spice, I canāt drink coffee folks, thatās why I ask for this kind of options.
Besides, I 1st ask if they were any possibility of adding whipped cream to it and when they say yes I ask that I will please like it with it, no whipped cream on my drink whatsoever.
The cashier is kind but unfortunately she has no experience as a barista at all and my request (for which I paid) was ignored.
It would be great if they trained their staff better.
PS - Response to the comment of the local: It sounds a little crazy on my part to have to specify something like that when you go to a cafe and as a client you have knowledge and certifications of bartender and barista and you hope that those who take care of you or the local have a sensible level of knowledge of what they serve, it would be awesome so then to have your menu separate as -coffee drinks- and -non-coffee/caffeinated drinks- as they do in many places now if you guys are going to invent/have your own way to make a Indian classic, or well have specifications about it (that contains caffeine), it's just a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am fairly new to this area. I started hosting open mic monthly here this past June, and I come almost every week since I found it in May. The talent and supportive atmosphere is amazing, one of my favorite open mic experiences Iāve personally ever participated in! As disabled veteran, they are so very accommodating for me to the extent I even wrote a song in Nashville inspired by all the caring friends I have made here. Although it attracts all skill levels like open mics āshouldā do, the majority of regulars attendees are local professional singer/musicians with a diverse range of genres and ages. We use these open mics to share our songs for each other, and often with each other. Itās also a child friendly atmosphere, for our youngest performer is a ten year old little girl on her guitar and singing. So please come hang out with what ever genre you enjoy to play, or come support Salisburyās local talent! Especially come support the Mean Mug for all they do for the disabled and musical community in general! Great coffee and food served with kindness! They were interviewed by the local tv station for employing people with disabilities, there is no kinder...
