One of the most impressive qualities of a business, especially a service business is the ability to listen, hear and apply suggestions where appropriate. Tonight I experienced ALL 3!
Tonight marked our 4th visit to this brand new establishment. Our first night was when they first opened - always kinks to work out - great selection, good food, good service - BUT OMG! Tonight (4th visit) - with 5 friends (Smart - ass ones by the way) was nothing less than 5 star. From service to eveyone trying specialty cocktails (which was a bit weird for beer drinking men, but when they ordered a second round - THAT SAYS SOMETHING!) to fighting over appetizers (SEARED Scallops, BAKED Oysters and Seafood nachos) to a diversity of main entees (Seared Duck Breasts - Center Cut Lamb Chops - Cioppino - Grilled Ribeye to Seafood Bucatini and YES we shared and taste tested each - ALL WERE 5 STAR DISHES. Even more impressive that Chef Phillip thanked us for the complements with kudos to his staff - SOOOOOOO COOL for a Chef to have the talent to train up his staff so NOT dependent on whether his expertise is only there when he is! That is super impressive! Oh I cannot forget that the first time we tried this restaurant, dessert really wasn't an option ---😋😋😋 tonight the table shared 2 apple crumb cheese cakes and key lime pies that impressively was made INHOUSE and both mouthwatering! OMG - Not even a morsel left! This 5 star restaurant deserves a try and repeat visits! The STAFF aims to PLEASE!
Midweek Date Night Delight! 💕🍽️
Hubby and I enjoyed a lovely midweek date at Salisbury’s newest spot — @SAVOUR, located in the soon-to-be Hilton DoubleTree at 300 South Salisbury Blvd.
While the restaurant is still in its soft opening phase (a few finishing touches in decor and lobby construction), that didn’t stop the friendly staff and talented chef from delivering a delicious dining experience.
We started with the Beef Carpaccio — absolutely perfect. I love introducing hubby to new flavors, and this one was a hit!
For salads, Don went with the Caesar, served with super crisp Romaine wedges and homemade croutons. I had the Summer Salad with juicy peaches, burrata, heirloom tomatoes, and peppery arugula. What I really appreciated? Just the right amount of dressing — lightly drizzled, not drowning the greens. 👌
As usual, we shared a main dish... and Oh. My. Gosh. — the Center-Cut Lamb Chops with roasted fingerlings and creamed spinach were absolutely deeeeelicious and cooked to perfection. 🐑🔥
Can’t wait to go back once they’re fully open — but even now, definitely...
Read moreI took my mom to try this new restaurant Friday at about 630. There was no wait and we were seated on the patio as we requested.
We ordered a couple of drinks and they took a little while as I think several of us were seated around the same time. Mom had a coconut crush, and I had The end. Don’t sleep on the $9 coconut crush, thing was amazing! I got one too, on the second round.
We had an unpleasant couple of minutes when the table directly adjacent my elbow, decided to loudly opine about the shootings this week in the news and his personal feelings and ideology about it over our water front sunset. After the third or fourth time I almost chimed in to correct his misinformed Faux news ramblings (the ‘bury gotta ‘bury, I guess), I relocated us to the opposite end of the patio, explained to Onyea, and was immediately accommodated so this ridiculous dude without volume control or sense wouldn’t ruin else’s evening meal.
I’m happy to say Onyea was a warm and professional delight and I didn’t think about him again until I wrote this review! 🩵 I wandered over to the amphitheater to grab a couple quick pics at sunset, and when I’d returned so had Onyea with our first round!
The special app was an unconventional seafood flatbread pizza, but I made it my entree and requested a side salad, with no regrets! I’m told I have Phil to thank for this, and so sincerely, thank you Phil!
Though not on the menu, Onyea was able to get me a Caesar side salad with my app, and I was really happy with it. Mom had the Savor burger with fries and said it was fantastic, and worth every penny!
This is indeed high praise from a Boomer, so let’s take it...
Read moreMy husband and I were in town because our daughter had our first grandbaby! Nicole our server/ bartender was absolutely lovely. The food was AMAZING we had booked the hotel last minute got to the restaurant/ bar late after being at the hospital with our daughter and son in law and Nicole was so friendly we asked if still serving food and she said of course! The hotel was under construction and we weren't sure about anything but there were so many people greeting us at the restaurant one person nicer and friendlier then the last! Everyone was wonderful which says a lot for the management in my eyes I believe in the trickle down affect.. That being said, we didn't know how the food would be because it was a new restaurant and the hotel itself was under construction , And you could have wonderful friendly people. But this food may not be good LOL. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! We ate a fabulous meal and had wonderful cocktails!! I absolutely recommend this restaurant. I hope they get regular business not just from hotel stays but from patrons looking for a fabulous place to enjoy an amazing meal and cocktail with excellent service!!! I wish them the best! We also met the owner and GM and he was a doll deserves to be very successful! Good luck to all I wish you...
