Sugar Rush by Theresa — Restaurant in Salisbury

I absolutely loved working with Theresa and her team for our wedding desserts and let me tell you- they did not disappoint! I had already been corresponding with Natasha about getting a quote when I came across an Instagram post of wedding dessert that I just KNEW needed to be ours as well- and it just so happened that Theresa had done the display! I was ecstatic. Natasha was very quick in responding to my many questions and emails, and Theresa was super accommodating to what we were looking for. We ordered a small cutting cake that sat on top of a macaroon tower and cupcakes. We were able to rent the cupcake and mac towers from them and the Sugar Rush team also set up our dessert display on the day-of. The thing that impressed me the most was when we were choosing flavors, Natasha and Theresa made sure that the colors of the desserts matched the color palette of our wedding, even if that meant changing a color of mac but keeping the flavor we were looking for. Theresa provides a base tasting kit that has PLENTY to taste as far as cake flavors and icings, and you can also pick up some flavors in store that aren’t in the kit to taste as well. Everything is delicious and the cakes are very moist. The flavors were on-point and her baking got several compliments throughout the night. I wanted to eat one of everything on our wedding day- and thankfully they left a small take-away box so that we did leave with some leftovers (that were just as tasty for breakfast the next day)! Don’t go here unless you plan coming here every week for the rest of your life. Sugar Rush by Theresa is so addicting. It’s one of most delicious bakery I’ve ever been too and nothing compares (and I make it a point to go to every bakery I see). I have been going here for years and watched and tasted her menu grow bigger and better as time goes on. She comes up with great new ideas and lots of flavorful seasonal treats for every holiday. It’s not just tasty treats, it’s legitimately edible artwork.

Theresa has really made her shop a Downtown gem for Salisbury. If you live local and haven’t been yet you really don’t know what you are missing. And if you live out of town it’s definitely worth the tip here just to taste these magnificent treats.

The macaroons are incredible. If you've never tried one, i urge you to do so. Going to Europe for my 11th time and I can say with certainty that these are the best macaroons I've ever had. I'm actually not a fan of the cupcakes (specifically the cake part, i find it dense and heavy.... perhaps because of the freezing?). I did try a dozen or so cupcakes over a year simply for the creams, mousses and generally any filling or topping Theresa makes.
