The restaurant was bright and clean up on entering, and we were greeted right away by the cashier. I wanted the chicken sandwich with fries plus a tender meal as seen at other locations but didn't see it in the menu, so we just opted for a sandwich + fries set each. I got the mild sandwich and gf got the lemon pepper, along with two fries, and a strawberry hibiscus slush to share. After the $25 gifted as part of the event, I still needed to pay about $7 not including tip, so kind of on the pricier side for a couple chicken sandos. The food was brought out to our table rather quickly by a really friendly and cheerful worker. Upon first glance, the food looked instagram-worthy! However, I found the sandwiches just alright, the buns were drenched in butter, which makes it particularly appetizing, especially the brioche, but the chicken, which should have been the star of the show, was both kind of bland, and not particularly crispy, even the lemon pepper hardly had much taste, though the sandwich was drenched in butter and slaw. I've also had better coleslaw. I also really enjoyed their crinkle fries at first as they were extremely crispy, but found the sugar that they sprinkled on top, kind of weird after a few bites. We both really enjoyed the strawberry hibiscus though. Great service, okay food, I may give it another chance.

Husband got the liftoff at 600k scovols and then tried the 2M one and said that was a huge jump and too hot to enjoy but he loved the liftoff. He gets that everytime we go. I am not a spicy fan so I did the mild and it was delicious. Just enough spice to make it good! We both did the cheesy chicken sandwich. I tried a chicken tender with the medium once before and it was too spicy for me but probably good for everyone else. We also tried the chicken tortilla soup and that $4.99 soup had no business being that good. There was so much flavor and tons of chicken as well. Highly recommend getting the soup! I love their lemonades and my husband loved their milkshakes especially after trying the 2M tender lol. We will def go back and have brought people from out of state to try it too and everyone has loved it. One thing to note is that the first time we went and got the cheesy chicken sandwiches, I commented on how clean eating it was. I was shocked that the cheese and sauce and chicken stayed contained and I barely needed my napkin and I LOVED that for me. 2nd time we went, it was extremely messy and cheese and sauce falling out all over the place. We used probably 10 napkins each. Not sure why the inconsistency but the sandwiches were delicious both times just a lot wetter the 2nd.

The aesthetic of the restaurant feels very try-hard and all over the place; gives off ai generated art vibes. It was very clean and spacious. Parking during peak hours can be pretty difficult. It’s more expensive than chik di la and less expensive than pretty bird on 2100 s. About $15 for sandwich and fries without a bev, and they will ask you for a tip on top. So it’s a bit pricey for what it is, but the actual food quality is high. The sandwich was easy to eat and had good flavor and texture. I got “spicy” level spice on my sandwich and it was actually quite hot, which was a pleasant surprise. Fries were good. House sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste but it is good. It took about 10-15 minutes to get my food, which was maybe a bit longer than ideal. Ultimately it was quite good but the vibes were a bit cringe IMO. It’s trying really hard to be a hip restaurant. they have a limited amount of outdoor patio space but I don’t think it is super well shaded. There was a couple with a dog out front, so it is pet friendly outside!

I recently visited HHC with high expectations, hoping for a flavorful and memorable meal. I was monthly visitor of The Crack Shack and so this joint had some big shoes to fill.. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired, and I found myself comparing it unfavorably to other establishments.

Firstly, the chicken was greasy, over-seasoned, and lacked the finesse you would expect from a premium chicken joint (which is what it is marketed as).

HHC's offerings are more on par with fast food chains like KFC and Popeyes. The chicken here seems to share the same low-quality ingredients and heavy-handed use of seasoning to mask the quality (insert spice). It felt like a fast track to a heart attack with each bite. The overwhelming greasiness and lack of balance in flavors made it a disappointing and unhealthy meal.

I would not recommend HHC to anyone aside from the fat unhealthy American looking to munch down chemicals masked as "spice". If you’re looking for a great fried chicken experience, look elsewhere. I would call Pretty Bird a superior choice to this place and that's saying a lot. Save your health and your taste buds—there are better...
