We found this place when we visited SLC back in fall of ‘22 (when they had just switched ownership) and found that their burritos are amazing. We ended up eating here three times during our two week trip. We came back for another trip this winter and their burritos are still just as good, solidifying this spot as a place we will return to every trip.
Our favorite meat is the green chile pork. Tender pork, a few juicy morsels of fat, slightly spicy green chile sauce, really well seasoned and textured rice, with perfectly seasoned refried beans to bind it all together. And the tortilla is top notch, great flavor and texture similar to lard tortillas (not sure if theirs is made with lard though). We also tried the adobada and carne asada which were meat only - also great! Adobada is cooked perfectly, tender yet just a little crisp, and good flavor/marinade.
For a hefty burrito for just over $10, I highly...
Read moreExcellent one of the best authentic Mexican meals I've had in UT. When I lived in TX we had a much wider selection, here in UT not nearly enough options. Only here. I've gotten lunches for my staff here, and my son and I pick up lunch on weekends here when we can. Their adobada burrito smothered is phenomenal...my guilty pleasure is their Coctel de Cameron (ceviche/shrimp coctail) it is so good and sooooo fresh. The shrimp are huge. They serve it with crackers but those get soggy too fast so I always make sure I have tortilla chips on hand. Even the avacado is fresh. Delicious. It is a bit expensive, but much better than Betos or other places..so its worth the price. My staff all tried carne asada fries and nachos and rave about it. Really enjoy this place have been several times and will return. Also their rice and...
Read moreMy wife and I love Mexican food, but on moving to SLC haven't been able to find a place we really liked. Well, our search is over. Everything we got here was fantastic.
We especially liked the Nevada Burrito and the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. Their beans were seasoned well. Good flavor but still taste like refried beans. The guac was nice, light, and creamy.
Portion sizes were really big. The burrito was about $10 but would've been enough to fill me up. Same for the quesadilla, which came with guacamole and sour cream on the side. A nice touch. They also threw in sliced limes on the side. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure you'll be happy.
We're only saddened by how close it is. My new years resolution to lose weight is now in jeopardy. We definitely will be...
