Authentic Latin Experience at Batista Food & Grill: A Must-Try in South Salt Lake I can't stop coming to Batista Food & Grill! As a Costa Rican, I was thrilled to find such an authentic Cuban/Nicaraguan restaurant in South Salt Lake. This family-owned gem offers a truly unique experience of Latin cuisine that you won't find anywhere else in the city. Their gallo pinto dish is a must-try, with mixed seasoned red beans and rice, grilled beef with caramelized onions, and ripe fried plantain. It's so delicious, I can't get enough of it! Whether you're in the mood for lunch or dinner, this place is perfect for gathering with friends and family. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is outstanding too. Don't forget to leave a tip for the hardworking staff who make your dining experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Batista Food & Grill to anyone looking for an authentic Latin experience in Salt Lake City. Check out the pictures I've posted, including the restaurant front, inside space, and the mouthwatering dish I had for lunch today. Don't miss out on this rare gem!

I'm happy new business are starting out she mention they been open 1month, so i feel bad and i know they are trying to do their best, and I saw a review of a new Nicaraguan and Cuban restaurant. I was excited and invited some family to come along, in Salt lake there any nicaraguan restaurants. I would said they dont have any native food from nicaragua, We try 7 plate, but stake sandwiches my son like it, the meats were a 10, chike pinchos were delicious small portions, pork plate the pork was delicious 10 small portions, an order of fry banana we laughed because it was only 3 quarter side slide, the soup felt water down, the, the beans soup with olive not sure if thats a cuban thing but did no taste good, no drink only soda or water which is ok, the rice and bean ( Gallo pinto) it was not a gallo pinto, service they did not check back with us, but they were freidndly over all the stake were ok, the pork and chicken were delicious feed back to small, i would probably come back later and give one more chance hope thing are running better good luck, 👍 😀

I wish I could leave a higher review, but mistakes on orders means I won’t do that. I ordered off Uber eats. They had a BOGO promo and we opted for two Cuban sandwiches. We selected fried cheese as the side. I’d seen pictures of that side online and it was one of the main reasons I chose to order here. The order was ready quickly. The space is small and simple but has room for several dine-in tables. They offer a medium-sized menu with authentic dishes. The staff were friendly. Portions were good on the sandwiches. The Cubans were delicious! Great meats and good bread. Unfortunately, they gave us the wrong sides. We had fries…which were frankly terrible. They reminded me of elementary school cafeteria fries. Fix your fry game or at least get the sides right next time! I do plan on ordering again, but I’ll check my order next time upon pickup. With so much competition, it’s important that kitchens are sending out the right items.
